@matej266 The 2SS is basically the fully loaded camaro with some bonus features that the 1SS wouldn't have. Better sound system, leather, red ss badge on the exterior, halo rings in the headlights, etc.

@ThompsonWasik I always thought the 1SS was the automatic with the L99 V8 which puts out 400 hp, and the 2SS was a manual with a LS3 V8 which puts out 426 hp.

automatic is quicker but manual has top end. If ur drag racing automatic is better but if ur doing circuit manual is better. Personally i wud take the automatic because while ur struggling to change gears im gone...lol

Not true at all. Manual can drag out the gear more, getting more RPM's and speed quicker, although it doesn't have a quicker shift, you get a lot more power. Automatics never get full RPM's unless it's a slapshifter.

true manuals are more fun but when it comes to real drag racing automatics are better. Everybody in my family drag races, some amateur and some professional but they all use auto. When you have a high powered car, you dont have time to change gears.

I can drive a stick. My father has been driving trucks for over 30 years so I learned at a young age how to drive a stick and a stick is more fun but I have to go with auto when it comes to the dragstrip.

Yeah manual you can control when you shift so if your getting 305 hp at 6300 rpm or w/ever it is you can shift at that directly then automatic would shift at 7000rpm and you would be losing power. thats why ppl get manual to unleash all the power. Automatic does change gears a lot quicker though.
