SRK's Devdas was a load of crap but Dilip Kumar's one was brilliant. Dev D is pretty good too. But to say that D.K.'s Devdas is a fail just shows your lack of understanding of art!
I wouldnt quite say that SRKs devdas was crap..I think the sets, the music, the dialogues, the direction by one of the best filmmakers of our times, bhansali were exceptional, even in the acting department Ashwariya was brilliant..Srk , and madhuri were average at best..the screenplay could have been a lot lot better..over all the movie was good, but no where near the class of Dilip kumars dev das..

Anyway, Devdas is one of my favorite stories so it's lucky we're getting so many quality interpretations.
