Friedman quoted Rumsfeld "Some have argued that the nuclear threat from Iraq is not imminent, that Saddam is at least 5 to 7 years away from having nuclear weapons.I would not be so certain". That either means Rumsfeld is not certain that Sadaam is not an imminent threat or that he is not 5 to 7 yrs from having nuclear weapons. A third possiblity is that he meant both. In this case it cannot be said that Rumsfeld called Iraq and "immediate threat". You can't even tell imminent from immediate.
