Ben Norris is the only week link to a other wise strong panel. But God Frankies gone & you feel it. Frankie is bowing out as I am I tried to watch series 8 & beyond. But now it is just weak southern twee rubbish with no danger. Until Frankies back I wont be. Thank you MrMoody from Series 1 to 7 MTW is some of the best comedy I have seen. But as for series 8 & the introduction of Russel wearing glasses to look intelligent & all the guest captains & that unfunny blavk woman this is were im going x

David and Frankie are very different. For the most part, Frakie tells jokes. They're good, but they're jokes he wrote earlier and often doesn't even try to adapt. You'll see him use the exact same joke (same words, same pauses) several times in different episodes. David is not a stand-up comedian, he's genuinely making up his material on the spot. He's good in MOTW but really shines in WILTY or QI, where people are expected to be funny and clever, not just pick jokes from their mental database.

I personally think David Mitchell is as good as Frankie Boyle.. not the same kind of humour, but he's great, so I hope he stays!

To be honest, I didn't like David Mitchell all that much. But as the MTW series went on, his wit seemed to get more sarcastic and sharp-tongued, and now he is definitely one of my favorites. I do hope Frankie's gets well soon, though. I miss his offensive humor.

Excellent episode. Even without my favourite Frankie. To be honest, I'd rather have David as a regular than either Russel or Andy. Don't get me wrong, I think they're both great, but Hugh, Frankie, David and probaly Russel would be a dream come true. His style is just different.
