  • @iikoggy You're gonna kill me because YOU said the wrong word? You nee to get some anger management or something.. or watch Star Trek once in a while.

  • he looks like loyde Christmas from dumb and dumber lol

  • @TheOriginalMolly

    Hahahaha

  • What king of guiter do you recommend?

  • How long does it take to get as good to play the rhythm in step 7?

  • Jeez, how long do I have to play to become as good as you? :) You're freckin awesome!

  • you look like your from the beatles lol

  • Nice vid.

You have a spock haircut!!! EPIC

  • Dude..... Great Stuff.... really learnt alot.. yhanks

  • Great lesson bro! Keep it up! 5 stars!

  • great lesson man, thanks a mil

  • awesome! i like your videos

  • ne1 who even thinks about your hair while watchin this should stfu aqnd try to learn...then u guys might get somewhere

  • Well said, dont listen to these cunts they probably play fall out boy(when they read this, theyll probably say that they play bullet for my valentine, but really can't.)

Nice video mate, only complaint is you should get a camera man to zoom in/out, great stuff, covers alot.

  • man, your hair....

    but very good lessons

  • I think he was going through a bowl cut stage.

  • what the fuck does it matter what his hair is like, he's teaching beginner guitar lessons, if you want to comment on people's hair style pick up a hair magazine, otherwise gtfo!

  • lol, i know i can't tell you how to comment, but i think i speak for everyone else when i say you sir are a gigantic arse biscuit ;) and careful, even though that enormous vag is owned by me, it's still yo momma! ZING! only joking :)

  • My mom is your enormous vagina? What?

Anyway, that you claim to speak for everyone else demonstrates your arrogance. How do you know your sentiments don't represent the minority? You don't. Don't try to find a rational basis for your whiny comment. As for being an arse biscuit, eww wha? Well, I guess I can admit to that. :o

  • Did you happen to have blood pouring out of your butt after that extreme session you had with your parent? Or are you just a douche? Ethier way, your stupid and can't comment for crap..... so get bent for your dad, cock fag sucker. haha

  • lol this made me laugh.

  • @meehore his hair blows compared to mine.

  • @meehore BRAVOO

  • hey dean what series of ibanez is that

  • Thats an RG350dx or RG series

  • Indeed, hoops, you are a complete idiot

  • hoops u are a idiot...

  • u kno how much a good prs costs? by the way how is that a douchebag guitar?

  • Low end: $600

It's a douche bag guitar because it is typically played by douche bags like Steve Vai.

  • thats not that low end and steve vais only partially a douche

  • I don't know what you're talking about, but that is what a low-end PRS guitar costs.

  • yeah but a mid-high end ibanez is way better than a low end prs

  • No it isn't.

You couldn't give me an Ibanez guitar.

  • ur right i dont hav any spare money to giv u one.

  • Dig around in the cushions of your couch. ROFL

  • i wish, but seriously u dont like ibanez's not even the ones satriani uses?

  • I'm sure that Joe Satriani's highly customized guitars (and Steve Vai's, for that matter) are top of the line in every respect. I just don't like Ibanez guitars. For one thing, I don't like Floyd Rose floating vibratos. For another, I really hate pointy guitars... they induce bad 80s flashbacks.

*tries not to think about Ratt and Poison...*

If you like them, fine. Me, I'm primarily a Fender (American made) man, even though I learned to play on my older brothers' Gibson LP.

  • whoa i didnt think about that yeah i try not to think about the 80's too... the age of floppy discs and acid washed jeans....or so ive heard, im only 14.

  • Oh, well no wonder.

When I was 14, I had a Kramer guitar that I striped with spray paint (using masking tape) in a pathetic imitation of Eddie Van Halen.

  • ive seen alot of those they usually look pretty good

  • hooray for 1page long reply conversations! lets go for 2 pages and never msg eachother!! :D

  • sorry about that, that ended a week ago

  • Upload another beginner video.

  • ur a freaking god.

    jst thought i'd say summit

  • dude! just wanted to say u rock and i been playin guitar for like 2 yrs but took breaks and eventually got so into it i blew my amp! i got a new one 4 christmas and its awesome! 50 watts and a foot channel changer. its sweet, but i still cant play as good as u. 1 more question, how long u been playin? please write back dude. ROCK ON

  • lol, i wonder, do you use Dimarzio pickups?

  • my vibrato sounds like his

    im now happy

  • I just wanted to say that I think your channel is plenty good. I have subscribed and sent a friend invite. Keep up the good work and never give up on your dreams!

    With respect, your friend TEAMWHITTINGTON

  • damit teach me the part that starts at 1:17. that will sound amazing in guitar centers. lol

  • i have 1 qustion it may sound dumb but is that a left handed

  • That is not, left handed players would pick with their left hand, and play on the neck with the right hand. not a dumb question, most non guitar playing people couldn't even tell the difference.

  • thanks for the help

  • Poopwetrooper84, you are wrong, im left handed and i play with my left hand on thefret board, its confusing at first but eventually it pays off. thats how it was for me anyway

  • right hand guitar man..you position fingers with left hand...

  • not a dumb question but i thinks its a right

  • 1:18

    now that.

    is badass.

  • bald !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sweet thanks man

  • This is a good guide, I've always had trouble with pull-offs, I didn't know you had to do a kinda strum thing

I think there is a lot of Palm Muting on "Talk Dirty to Me" incase anybody wants to practice that =)

  • yay more!

  • when hamering on and pulling of its about accuracy , not slamming strength

  • You fucking rock Dean.

You just make it look so god damn easy :P

  • very good tips =D!

i could never explain how to palm mute to my friends lol...i never took any lessons an no1 taught me anything

but i would recomend a TOTALY NEW guitarist...never picked up a guitar or w/e...to get an acoustic because it builds your callusses and builds your finger strength so when you get an electric it'll be alot easier to play because the electric strings are thinner and will cut into your finger tips...acoutsic strings are alot thicker =]

  • lol thanks for telling me that now :P

Some of my friends are insanely good guitarists (electric) so i brought a Electric guitar and started learning by myself (the helped me)

/but its cut all the tops of my fingertips and there permently numb with hard skin :P

  • lol

well its good if your skin gets hard =]

it means your fingers are adapting to the strings so it wont hurt =]...when i play it doesnt hurt at all but if i get one of my friends to play the complain how their fingers feel like they're bleeding XD

keep at it and dont lose hope =]

you will get as good as you want to be =]

oh and remember keep guitar fun...dont make it a chore learn songs you want to learn =]

  • uhhhi think the part were u said "skin gets hard" could mean something else to other people xD

i love how i has calliscus on my fingers

  • lol yeah my fingers don't hurt anymore :)

I dont, i love my guitar, im on it for aggess every single day :]

Except 2 guitar stings have broke in 2 days :(

Deserves me right for buying the 'beginers guitar' from Argos i guess. I might just fix the strings, sell it on eBay and buy an actual good one :)

  • thats good =]

i used to practice/play every day for 8 hours a day for 2 years =]...which ive been playing for 2 years =]

and dont let people influence your selection of the guitar dramatically....let the guitar chose you =]

it depends heavily (in my opinion) on the size of your hand...i have Tiny hands so i cant really play Deans, Shecters and anything w/ big fat necks...i play ESP and Jackson because the necks usually fit me good =]

so if you have my hand style id go w/ LTD/ESP =]

  • wooh Kirk Hammett!

  • lol =]

my brother got me my first electric and told me that Metallica used ESP so it should be a good guitar (i didnt care i just wanted an electric)

ESP/LTD's are really good for their price IMO

    i have a F-50 and i love the guitar...it gets better w/ age =]

there is alot of good guitarist that use ESP aswell as Kirk Hammett...like Alexi Laiho, Roope Latvala, George Lynch, Will Adler, and Jon Donais just to new a few ;)

  • i dunno i have a fender strat and i went to a cheap guitar store down the street that didn't even sell named brand guitars and i couldn't even play them ..i felt like a noob..but really it was the guitar's lack of ability

  • it depends on the guitar and the guitarist

i dont like Fenders because it just a guitar with a bolt on that costs way too much for me =/....and i dont like Single Coil p'ups

and yes i admit i do need a job but im a bit young (15) and most places wont hire me cuz i got school

picking a guitar is all about the preference of the guitarist...i dont like Gibsons or Fenders because they usually dont have 24 frets and i need the 24 fret neck because i want all the notes i can get =]

  • yes..fenders typically are expensive but because they are easy to play and have great sound..after having my fender strat for years i cannot play a guitar any lesser..it just seems like crap and i can't even hit the strings right...may be my issue i'm no pro but i can mimick one..

  • and also 24 fret neck??? honestly never heard of a 24 fret neck i know fenders end at 21 frets and some good ibanez guitars have 22 frets..but never heard of 24 frets ...?? what guitar you play that has 24 frets?

  • umm most ESP's have 24 frets....alot of guitars used for Metal have 24 frets

schecter Hellraisers have 24 frets i believe and i think the guitar in the vid has 24 frets...i might be wrong but i think he has 24 frets =]

  • yeah he has 24. mine fretboard is set up the same way

  • There are TONS of guitars with 24 frets.

  • buddy most guitar out there have 22 or 24 frets, its mainly used for people doing wild soloing, alot of metal players use them because they get that extra high notes. IBANEZ, SCHECTER, DEAN, JACKSON, ESP, CORT ALOT OF THERE GUITARS ARE 24 FRET. cmon man if youve never heard of one you probably just started playing yesteday

  • Lol, right, because a Strat with 21 frets makes for some very boring guitar solos.

  • i didnt say 21 frets make boring solos, i said it gives that extra note, which for many guitarist is crutial. and ill tell u ive seen more 24 and 22, in australia anyway that 21. although there are alot out there

  • "buddy most guitar out there have 22 or 24 frets, its mainly used for people doing WILD SOLOING, alot of metal players use them because they get that extra high notes."

    Ok buddy,

A - You implied if it has less than 22 frets it isn't wild, which is close enough to boring or mediocre.

B - Extra high notes? It's so that there are two full octaves on each individual string from open string to fret 24.

I'm not going to waste time arguing with you.

  • ''22 or 24 frets, its Mainly used for people doing wild soloing... read properly.. 22 and 24 are MAINLY. thats is saying mainly 22 and 44 are for soloing. i didnt say 21 frets are not for soloing u idiot. learn to read.. Properly. and yes extra high notes.. i know that is 2 full octaves u dumbass. which is what i was saying.. 2 FULL OCTAVES is better for soloing. Plz read carefully before coming back with an argument , that is basicly wrong

  • sounds like you need a job

  • keepin' it simple I like it

  • my strings arent flexible enough to bend that far...idk why but after like half of a bend if i go more than that it snaps

  • Do you have really new string?

  • what do you have an acoustic?

  • i work at a guitar shop, and i can tell you most of the time this happens its because

    a) the bridge is improperly set i.e too high

    b) the strings are tuned way too high

    c) the strings are too high in gauge (thickness)

The general action of the guitar is set too high

    hope this helps buddy

  • how many guitars do u have? what are they?

  • thanks man, that really helped me.

  • awesome thanks man, i know guitar a little bit

i buy my guitar but i need to practice more i only know the sweet child o mine intro and the solo a little thanks!

  • Dean, it always sounds better when you play it.

  • u study in private shcool?

  • Nice.

You should still make a lesson on tremolo whammy and pick-slide tricks (like some you did on Dragonforce).

  • lol dude nice ibanez i love the jem im getting a rg350dx in 3 days i love it

  • aww you cut your hair... it was so much better before!

  • Blame private school.

  • really

  • does private schools suck?

  • nah, just shorter hair.

  • well thats good that you like it im guessing ur in a band

  • i knew subsribing to you would be worth it!

  • i like how you use your hands with the g string

  • sick thanks a lot this helps a bunch
