@CribNotes the thing is..why would you let him be the voice for a heads-up tv-show? you have to imagine him talking 1 1/2 hours per episode, ruining what could be a great show. there are so many poker experts with normal voices..let them do the job..i'm not saying he's not good or not a nice guy..but if you produce a tv-show with a commentary voice, don't choose haxton!

Would you rather have someone with a good voice with mediocre commentary, or someone with a not so great voice like Haxton who gives exceptional commentary. At the end of the day i'm a poker purist, so i've gotta go with the latter. Commentators are there to do exactly that, commentate. If you wanna hear a sexy voice you should listen to Patrik Antonius in an interview, DAYUM ;)

@CarlosSmitalos yea i really like what you said there man and i agree, that haxton's analysis is enlightening at times, but i have to say the commentary at fulltilt million dollar cash game, high stakes poker and poker after dark is very good, too..so i think i'd always pick haxton for an episode or two, but if i go for a whole season of poker i will always pick someone with a decent voice..
