IT is CALLED the REBOUND Syndrome you take it to get better and rebound even further back than where you started before usage . Rebound Syndrome can be experienced from a drugs such as Nasal Sprays let alone Psyche drugs

Honestly I stopped all my Ssri's And Snris Cold Turkey for me it was the best route, Although a few years later the anxiety has returned but i don't know if its from the lack of ssri's or snri's but i do no they will never enter my body again.

i have bipolar. i gained over 170 pounds in 18 months. i don't consider that helpful. my dr said, well at least we know you can lose the weight when i pull you off a med. he was very cheerful. we got into screaming matching about my meds. he refused to take me off the 20 drugs i was on until i out shouted him. my drugs were so profuse and confusing i OD 8 times. still he refused to take me off half the drugs. only when he did not want to be sued did he adjust my meds.

I took Prozac for 12 years then it pooped out. I had not noticed any side effects while taking it all them years it seemed fine.I weaned off it in 2010, then depression/anxiety came back 10 fold. When I wanted to try it again I got bad side effects. My Shrink tried me on Zoloft then Paxil, but I could not handle the side effects. My MD. wanted me to take Seroquel or Risperdal I refused it. I refused all drugs. Now I am depressed /anxiety and want to die. Everyday is a struggle with my emotions.

@allexx123 I hear this so much. Despite the debate in this Video, there are some people that do seem to respond to the drugs. Consider yourself luck the first time around. I wish you would have just stayed on it if it was working. I've heard your story a gazilliion times about what happens when you get off, then never to get back on again. It must be due to the Physiological changes that are now irreversible. Look into Chronic Lyme Disease symptoms with Google. See if you might fit.

@gary1rn Nope not Lyme D. I stopped taking the Prozac (since it was not working anymore ) but tried to give it another chance after 6 months of not being on it. The only withdrawls I had from Prozac was feeling dizzy at times and of course still being depressed. All ssri hurt my stomach. I only took 1 pill of 50MG Zoloft & had every bad side effect listed, I gave my husband one and he felt nothing much from it. Paxil I took only a 10mg did not like side effects.

I am still messed up from Ativan back from 2009. I was also abusing the drug. You want to keep taking more and more. I did not have anxiety feelings but ended up with that from Ativan. Ended up in the ER & what did they give me in the IV ? Ativan, Benadryl and then put me in a nut house over night for suicidal ideations.

I have to laugh when they say these meds arent addicting....a doc told me ativan wasnt addicting I was on 2mg 3 times a day and I still have addiction issues with them...

@cluelessqueen Have your Thyroid checked, Hormones, Food Allergies, True disease such as Lyme. So many things can cause these types of illnesses.
