@KsideHb — In my amp I do a mid-cut. This is a different setup for mac-recording without a mid-cut, and I think my tone is wonderful. I played what the bassist in the song played. Check the song.

on the intro, the 8th notes that you're constantly hitting is totally off, the drum kicks are not even in yet. I've been playing in a band/worship team for years, so I'd recommend that instead of what 'seems right' do what is musically right. lastly, your bass is single coil, so I recommend you turn down on your mids

@schunful — "God Of This City," by Chris Tomlin, is from 2008. I only play new songs. I've played GOTC a few times. It has a great story about an Irish (I think) band that went to the red-light-district in Thailand & wrote & sung the song there as a prayer of hope of greater things to come for the city. Despite its awesome backstory I think the title-words-part is cheesy musically. Sorry, I'm a prude. Sometimes hokey temperament throws me off from enjoying a song. Keep thinking of suggestions!

@schunful — I checked, & that song is from 2004. I want to only do new songs. Do you know any good, new songs? Please, please, please pray for me! I am learning "How He Loves," by Jesus Culture, on bass, & it is one of the most difficult songs I've ever done! In fact, go to my currently new video ("Awakening" by Chris Tomlin), because in the description is a picture of the tab for "How He Loves." It's a beast! It's my second-ever two-page tab. My last two-pager took me maybe a month to learn!
