  • Why did the shaker hood not open up under acceleration? 1970 was the only year the did, after that Pontiac closed them up. I had a '70 RAIII and mine would open under hard acceleration. Vacuum operated. Just wondering.

  • It may be a Ram Air IV but it does not have RA IV heads. I doubt anyone would build a Ram Air IV and not have RA4 heads on it. If they did, whats the point?

  • Pretty cherry.

  • My dream car.

  • ya a few diff 1,s through the years,

    cheers

    bbbbbbbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Looks like it used to have an electric fuel pump @ 0:38.

  • Has ram air IV cam,Standard ram air III engine though.

    cheers

  • This is not a Ram Air IV. Trust me. I doubt it is even a Pontiac 400

  • That is one good lookin', sweet talkin', strong runnin' bitch. I LOVE IT!!!!

  • What is a manual cam? You mean solid lifters?

  • super car......

  • Just because he says it has Ram Air IV doesnt mean it was original to the car, damn guys you act like no car could ever possibly be modified, personally if i had a T/A like this id do the same, i know Edlebrock sells all the components to turn a Pontiac motor into a Ram Air IV so its not unheard of. Personally id put the Ram Air IV heads on it and stick a Comp Cams cam in it, but id build a 455 myself, not a 400, 400s are awsome but im a big 455 fan ;-)

  • cut them tail pipes down some...

  • The other guy asked what cam, I responded by saying it,s a ram air 4 manual cam. Get your pantys out of a bunch

  • @jasburrito LOL, i love that, you really gotta be a Pontiac guy to fully understand some of this stuff haha, i love the car man, wasnt this posted on cars-on-line for a while?

  • This is not a RA IV. I've owned both a '69 RA IV GTO and a '70 RA III Trans Am. Both 4 speeds and I can assure you, a RA IV powered poncho will produce a lot more havoc than the one on this video

  • @sbinplano You are right!

  • nice ilove the rally wheels my 81 bird was ugly with its stock turbo rims till i found a set of rallys on a old grand prex

  • beautiful, i have a 72' rs camaro and i would very much like to add 1 of these to my roster.

  • I wish my 81 Firebird sounded that nasty.

But sadly all i have is the factory 3.8 V6

  • if i get the money soon, then i will easily buy this car, wouldnt even think twice about it

  • What's the 0-60 time on this?

  • beeaaauutifulll.

  • Sweet!! Brings back memories!!

  • So nice - Pontiac power .

  • is that still a ram air cam in it??

  • Yes,ram air IV manual.

  • nice does it havh bottom end power i was goin to put one in my 400 but people are tellin me it doesnt have much bottom end for my fullsize pontiac

  • You are claiming this is a RA IV car?

What is the letter code stamped on the engine?

My 73 L75 TA stock original never rebuilt can burn rubber the same as this video with a 2nd gear tire break also, this is why I question the RA IV claim.

There were only 59 RA IV TA's EVER built.

  • lots of rare moolah in tat car

  • Very nice!

    Compliments!

  • Super nice car. Not boring like a camaro. But the tail pipes have got to go. They dont fit the car. Too small and long.

  • If that is a real 70 lucerne blue TA you have quite a rare car and the price is right!

  • Nice T/A.

  • That is one sweet ride!!!!!!!!!!!!
