@ douwethaman , Hah, another internet toughguy. 1st of all this is an 11 year old kid training and nowhere in description does it say helicopter looses power(although the video is in foreign languageI may have missed something said)Either way power loss may have accounted for the semi-hard landing(i believe he throttled down too hard) which is fine. He clearly was throttling up and attempting takeoff without compensating for water drag when the mishap occurs.ty for the stupid comment lol

I can tell that the front end of the helicopter took on a lot of water weight and when he tried to take off, his front was way too heavy. The copter was unbalanced.

Why didn't the ship in the background send a rescue boat to the helicopter?

looks like he gave to much collective to early and stalled the blades initially blades bend up. not enough rpm's in the engines to maintain so she suddenly dropped. + it looks like he turned out of the wind n lost his wind boost (whatever its called) allowing the weight to overcome the lift. then he tried to lift out of the water with too much weight on the nose (water). he should have backed off but he didnt...... so i guess now his BACKS OFF!

This was not the pilot's fault. When he was taking off the engine cut out. Pilot tried to restart it while floating, but the chopper sunk too fast. Waves tilted it forward far enough for the blades to touch water, and that was it. They were doing some kind of water touch down routine. I can understand russian language.
