  • I love the often ommited introduction verse.

  • @Fiftiesflashback yeah it has the correct opening lyrics..but thats not the way coots wrote the music...the chords and melody is totally different...this is phil spectors intro not the way the songwriters originally wrote the intro...

  • I just love Christmas time<3 I can't get enough of these Christmas songs..I love it even more when they play these songs on the radio<3

  • For me, it isn't Christmas until I hear this song on the radio. I could be in the middle of the Xmas Blues but as soon as I hear this, it's a different world.

  • this version is good even when it isn't christmas guess its because its with the crystals

  • One of the greatest drum tracks ever recorded, by one of the greatest drummers ever: HAL BLAINE

  • I love Lala.

  • it sucks that you can't buy this song anywhere. thanks for posting!!!!

  • the beginning is soooooo cute!!!! I love this song, christmas isn't christmas without phil spector's christmas songs =D x

  • Most subsequent rock versions of this Christmas classic are based on this arrangement. The most recent ones are twice-removed: they reflect the Bruce Springsteen live version, which was also based on this one.

  • I have only recently heard of the Crystals, as my dad brought the CD a few days ago. But I love the songs on the Phil Spector CD! Love this song!

  • Wow...I never really thought about it...but you have highlighted the reality that the Ronettes came out with "Be My Baby" in August of 1963...then the Christmas album came out the day that Kennedy was assasinated?...Wow...and then they came out with "Baby I Love You"...their second biggist hit, in December.. All of it right on top of Kennedy's assasination period. Funny Ronnie never even mentioned any of that in her autobiography? Don't you think she would have said SOMETHING? Strange.

  • The Crystals ROCK on this... that's the incredible La La Brooks on lead ... backed by all and sundry, whoever was in the studio! Probably the Blossoms... the Ronettes... Cher... Sonny... Oma Heard... Gloria Jones... incredible !!!

  • The Phil Spector Christmas album was released on November 22,1963.

  • best verison even and bruce springsteen too

  • great stuff good job .

  • is this an lp playing???

  • THEY PLAYED THIS SONG ON GOODFELLAS

  • really? in what part of the movie?

  • DAMN. SOUNDS LIKE THE RONNETTES

  • thank u.....I thought it WAS the Ronettes

  • love this song

  • Hal Blaine on the drums...you can see why Brian Wilson hired him to play on most of the Beach Boys records too.

  • For years I wondered who the drummer was. MY GOD ! I don't think anyone could equal him. Thank you.

  • superb xmas song.if only they made real christmasy songs as good as this.a classic.
