@djrelllik Actually, it's not a Goomba. They have no English name, but in Japan they're called Kuribon instead of Kuribo. It's specifically the SMW version of the Goomba, the one that isn't crushed but instead flipped and picked up like a Koopa.

for platforms, you could always use a block object that moves until it collides with a marker object, at which point it'll change it's horizontal or vertical direction. just my thoughts, i havn't tried that out in a game yet.

get the platformer tutorial on yoyogames, it tells how along with other useful things. But for your question just use string(lives) for your variable, and view_xview and view_yview for your coordinate. But again, get the tutorial and read the help file if you don't understand how. Good luck.

It is in advanced mode. Easy to change it to that if it 6.1 or 7 and maybe the other version. Just go to the room, go to views, and choose the object for it to follow. Don't forget to enable views and visible when room starts.

I didn't meant too -_- but it's true that the place I got them probably doesn't exist anymore but event if it did, I wouldn't remember because, like it's written in the description, the game was done in 2003 and the internet changes quite a lot in 5 years ;). And I said get a tutorial because I don't have the time to answer every single questions I get, and anyway it will answer your question and you'll learn many more useful stuffs. Just say how you make a moving platform that the player is moving with it without coding plz.

you need to make it so when the 2 objects (platform and player) are colliding for when the platform starts to move the character moves as well and when the platform stops the characters stops.

also if you make your character very advanced (not just using the arrows to move) then it should stay with it. these 2 ways dotn require scripting hope i helped

Looks really buggy man! I know Game Maker rather well, so I have a reason to critisise! :P But it doesn't look overly bad! Is it anywhere near completion? As if you need help, I'd would gladly help! Can't work on it with you, but I could help you out. Also, you might want to make a death animation whenever you destroy enemies, as it's extremely boring if they just get destroyed, and thats it. hmm, when you are editing a sprite in gamemaker, click on file and on create from strip. Then click on a sprite sheet and take what you need from it. Hope it helps
