Hey, do you teach a BHC to undershoot dismount first or a BHC to a long hang swing first.
Not sure if its common in Women`s Gymnastics (BHC to long hang swing) it`s used very often in Men`s compulsory ..just wondering what you think would be more beneficial to learn first..
I figured those might be the reasons. I think I'm going to change how I teach it that little bit. I'm currently training some new level 4's and haven't quite gotten to the air time yet, so this knowledge works out great. Thanks so much!
I notice that the girl holds a candlestick shape on the release part of the underswing all the way until just before she lands. I teach that they should open up more in the shoulders. Is there a reason you teach it that way.
@JChavaful A couple things: 1. I'm trying to avoid her throwing her head and arching open when she thinks she's opening her shoulders; 2. This turns into a clear-hip one day, where I'll want her to hollow over the bar rather than arch open into a handstand, so I'd rather her get the feeling of holding the hollow as long as possible; 3. in my experience, when they go full-speed and do the dismount themselves, they get their shoulders open naturally if they've learned how to hit/hold the candle.
she is amazing is she level 4?
