Good review, LOL. Lois is my girl too. And I was surprised how teary-eyed I also got after the explosion when Lois suddenly appeared next to her family as she realized what just happened. They were so relieved to see each other, and the family hug was so sweet.
First time posting...love your review. Just want to say regarding Clark and Lois....simply, never a dull moment. Just saw a video I think you will totally enjoy..."Thanks for the Ride"... a special tribute to the Kent football jersey.
@Evettive ~ Well, both times that Lois wore it, cause she was drunk and now... Clark gave it to her to wear. He obviously didn't mind :-D Chloe wore it without his permission ;-) And of course there is nothing wrong with wanting Tollie! I think there is so much better chemistry there than Oliver's other pairing options, imo.
@Evettive@luckyjasonfan@cherilee8 Well I hope this makes you feel better...Chloe did not wear that same jersey. She wore a plain practice jersey and the letters/8's were white. Lois is wearing the official game day jersey which has more details(stripes, LC logo, more 8's) and the letters/8's are yellow (the school's colors).
What a wonderful episode! Aw! You look like I looked after Homecoming. I was bawlin'. The Clois was great in Ambush. The Lois/Clark scenes were so truthful and deeply emotional! It was great to have the General and Lucy back. I thought it would be gimmicky but it was the opposite. Clark really stood up for himself and Clois and Lois stood by him in the end. I thought of the episode Lucy a lot. Clois didn't seem disconnected from the main story the way it seemed in Harvest and Isis.
I loved that Clark was so tough with the dad the whole time! Clark is a fair and decent person. He is the most powerful being on the planet, he doesn't have to take shit from anybody! And certainly not guests in his house, who should have been more respectful to him. I think Lucy kissed Clark to test him and see if his feelings for Lois were real. Clark is very bossy with Oliver, he say's "Now!" instead of "Please" when trying to get rid of him. The dad apologizing was a must! Great show!
@alempot ~ I'm a HUGE Oliver fan... and although Clark told him to do it... Oliver doesn't do anything unless he WANTS to do it. He doesn't mind listening to Clark, because they are real friends. He knows Clark wouldn't be that way if Clark didn't feel it was important for Ollie to leave right then... but Oliver is No push over, he's not going to take crap from Clark or anyone else :-D He gave Clark plenty of hell at the start of Season9. It goes both ways - I love the Collie relationship :)
@luckyjasonfan - I have to agree with you! I sometimes get annoyed with the way Clark treats Ollie, he tends to be bossy with him, as if he were a little brother. But you are right, he has given Clark lots of crap about all kinds of things and stood his ground plenty of times. I suppose it is a friend thing.
@alempot ~ true. Oliver looks up to Clark... it's interesting, because in Season 6, Oliver was so far ahead of Clark in the super-hero department and socially... but over the years there has been a shift and I think it is clear that Oliver respects Clark, like a big brother. They showed that in Homecoming... Oliver really cares about what Clark thinks of him and in my opinion, it's because Oliver sees the potential in Clark that even Clark hasn't displayed... he admires who CK can/will become!
Lol 'Fuck you, go to McDonalds or something cause there's nothing to eat here' hahah love this!
Your talk about Lois suggesting the porch swing...haha the look on Clarks face when she said that- makes me think Lana was borrring, and never mixed it up. Blahh I hate mentioning her, but I had to say it, your right Clarks got a real woman now.
and yes, Terri doing this for Superman fans-- very badass :) love it!
ITA... I didn't think anything could top Homecoming... but like you said, it was the way everything in this episode FIT. There wasn't a single scene that I wasn't interested in and that hasn't happened to me before watching Smallville. So, from start to finish, this episode really delivered! Great review... in the end I understood everyone's motivations for what they did - Lucy, The General, Rick Flagg & Oliver... it was a nice well developed story and the acting from all sides was amazing!
i like how there trying to keep Kara in the loop even though we don"t see her that was cool i liked tonights episode. Lucy looked very sexy tonight so did Lois and Tess to.
its obvious what the priorities of the producers of the show are. clark and lois. 5 straight episodes where clark saves no one but lois. at least the retards are getting what they want out of the show.
@thefoilerlives ~ actually Clark freed Tess when the Clone Lex had her handcuffed in a building that exploded... he saved Cat twice in Shield, then he saved Cat again in Isis - from a possessed Lois... he saved all those people from the Daily Planet Globe crushing them, which was a pretty big deal... he stopped the fire at the refinery... and most recently he blurred to save General Lane :-) ... but Lois happened to have gotten caught in the explosion instead. He wasn't going after her.
@LuckyCloisFan what about 5 straight episodes did you not understand. so clearly this is episode 7 im not talking about lazarus and shield. but the reason why lazarus and shield worked so good is because lois has her own storyline and isnt just riding the coattails of clarks storyline. something tells me(based on how the season is going) lois will know about darkseid before clark will.
i love your reviews, you always crack me up, lol, you didn't mention the question clark wanted to ask the general, could he be asking for lois hand in marriage, hmm, idk, i mean i had a bit of a fangirl squeal during that moment but its a bit soon for him to ask for her hand in marriage isn't it? i mean their married or engaged in the future but not now, idk, we'll see
@lovelydiva06 ~ I'm quite curious about this... I've heard other people saying that it's "too soon" for them to get engaged. Do you mind explaining this to me? I'm trying to understand what people mean... Is it that they need to love each other more/longer? Or that they need to know each other better? I really don't understand. Do you mind sharing your thoughts on this? thanks :)
@luckyjasonfan pretty sure they were on a break 5 episodes ago. thats besides the point, it should never be the main focus and a priority to people watching a show about clark kent becoming superman.
@thefoilerlives ~ yes, they were. But A LOT has changed since then. It's clear from everything that Clark has said and done, that Lois is the most important person in his life; like he said in Harvest to the cop and told her dad that he didn't want a day to go by without her!
The main focus for me IS on Clark becoming Superman. I've spent years watching him unhappy and unfulfilled. So, I for one, think it is essential to HIS journey, to have love and happiness in every aspect of his life.
Oh, don't send them to McDonald's! I wouldn't wish that on anyone. LOL. Yeah, I'll bet Clark is hating himself for wasting so much time with Lana! I've got to re-watch to say it was the best one so far, though, b/c I've liked all of them except SUPERGIRL.
LOL you always crack me up!!! I had no complaints with the episode either. I'm surprised you didn't mention the scene where Clark tells the General he wants to ask him a question about him and Lois... I smell a PROPOSAL!!!

I'd have to say Lois is my favorite character, Clark would have to come in second for me.

One thing that disturbs me is that Chloe was in that same jersey at one point...
Loved the Tess/Oliver scenes! Is it bad that I kind of want to see them together?
