Martin Luther would have been hard pressed to find people in his community of faith or in church history who would have agreed with him. But he still marched fowards with the truth he had nonetheless. John Wesley began to preach the truth he saw in the sciptures without the support that Paul Washer speaks of and we're all thankful he did. So he's not going to convince me Benny Hinn is not a man of God just because he supposedly didn't follow this particular procedure.

@tome4458 I'd love to discuss this period of history with you in a setting that would allow for a more in depth look at it. However it doesn't take long to see that although they may have had a few peers who agreed with them they didn't have the support of the churchs they'd grown up in nor from those in authority over them. As far as finding people from church history who agree with you I'm sure Benny Hinn could find a people (as well as people from his own time) who support his interpretation.

Christ gave full authority to St. Peter for such a task. This full authority includes the power to hand on his authority. This authority is the Catholic Church.

So pointing out someone who is INTENTIONALLY leading people astray I believe is something we should do. But just like you said, we need to do it out of love that Jesus Christ has shown. Benny Hinn preys on the uneducated and Lazy Christian who will not even pick up the Bible and read through the NT. Anyone reading even a few books of the Bible (Luke, Romans, James, Galations, Jude) will clearly see the false teachings of Benny Hinn! Seriously, anyone who defends Benny, can not possible understand the Gospel... he has taken so much money from his followers, living in 20-30 M house! @candie8301972 Paul washer also makes many harsh judgments on other men of God, and I believe that somewhat spoils his ministry. Because he does make some some really valid points at times and preaches things the church in general would do well to heed. Just feel he's going to find out he was quite wrong about some of the men he judges as being false or off etc, and that's sad for him.

@suntop321 Paul Washer has repeatedly taught to repent. I have yet to see making repentance his focus on his so called mission. There is 2 formula for salvation that is repentance and baptism, read Acts2;38.
Crack open your bible will ya and see if Benny Hinn's life reflects that of Messiah's teaching. If not he he is a false teacher and should have no business preaching the truth. Repent and stop making Benny Hinn and the other televangelist your idol.

It's not a numbers game, but I was resonding to the challenge that Paul Washer does not take the gospel out - I was simply saying he does. Benny Hinn preaches the false, prosperity gospel and gathers crowds around him, telling them what their itching ears long to hear - he does not preach the truth.

So if he would have been a real false prophet no body would have come to christ genuilly, becouse, as Jesus spoke, a kingdom (in the case of false prophet is the kingdom of darkness) can not fight againd himself....
To be a man of God does not mean to be perfect... a minister does not have necessary all the four ministry gift. That mean tha a good evangelist can be a bad teacher, or a techer not at all a prophet. Benny Hinn I think is a good evangelist but not a good teacher!!

Martin Luther would have been hard pressed to find people in his community of faith or in church history who would have agreed with him. But he still marched fowards with the truth he had nonetheless. John Wesley began to preach the truth he saw in the sciptures without the support that Paul Washer speaks of and we're all thankful he did. So he's not going to convince me Benny Hinn is not a man of God just because he supposedly didn't follow this particular procedure.

@TheAlan39 martin luther n john wesley delt with basic biblical truths that are supported consistently throughout scripture. they focused more on having the bible as the ultimate authority rather than tradition. n even you can even say they used this method because they had a community of ppl who were agreeing with them, and that they had people in the past agreeing with them. and after that the early church fathers and apostles. with that said, i dont say who is the lords anointed and who isn't

@tome4458 I'd love to discuss this period of history with you in a setting that would allow for a more in depth look at it. However it doesn't take long to see that although they may have had a few peers who agreed with them they didn't have the support of the churchs they'd grown up in nor from those in authority over them. As far as finding people from church history who agree with you I'm sure Benny Hinn could find a people (as well as people from his own time) who support his interpretation.
