  • Neighbor got a 50lb male here in Northern Cal recently after it nabbed one of my hens. This was in early December.

  • is it true that coyotes are as big as german sheperds ?????

  • @XXplaythegamesXX no their actually quite small, there coat makes them look a lot bigger.

  • @GhettoGuy54 I had an all jet-black coyote run across the highway right in front of me last winter on kamikaze curve in Binghamton, NY. Great looking dog. I would love to have him fall into my crosshairs sometime this season. I would have a dog like that stuffed. He was pretty big too, maybe 50 pounds.

  • My uncles in Murrieta CA, behind the mountain and there are coyotes.

One day my uncle and aunt were walking at 7:00 am to walk to the mountain that Centimeters back to his house and watched coyotes, and my aunt was scared because her little dog the following taxes, his dogs always follow when walking in the mountains and running down smaller taxes, and my uncle went and said that coyotes did not do anything, there were many coyotes with it and did not do anything.

  • I live in Oh, and my ex lived out in the country and he had a doberman and his Doberman kept the coyotes outta his property. You'd hear his dog attack them and he never came bak hurt but their' would b one less coyote when he was done. I just think w coyotes you just need a couple of good sheepdogs or cattle dogs that can take out a coyote.

  • I read somewhere that the Coyote is the most sucessful/adaptive predator on the planet, they even live in LA

  • @Maloner78 they even been found in new york city in the bronx and central park. No matter what you do to them there population is impossible to keep down for long periods of time. Shoot a bunch of them in an area the remaining dogs will increase there litter sizes from about 4 to up 8. Or if you shoot the alpha female in a family group all the remaining females will have a litter possibly tripling the population. So pretty much yeah they can live anyhere.

  • I'll be in russell springs this weekend, i have a few 223's with some coyote names on em

  • up here in Newfoundland Coyotes are actually a Species that come to Newfoundland recently Belive it or not over an Ice Flow and they have been a Pest to our wildlife our natural hunting foods like Rabbits and Caribou. and in that case moose population have grown and causing more moose car accidents. we still have a bounty on the Coyotes to this day.

  • Having lived in Kansas all of my life, I am familiar with coyotes. They keep the rat population under control, same for rabbits. However, uncontroled, coyotes will eat your chickens, dogs, cats and small cattle. Hunting them is fun.

  • i aint nowhere near kentucky but they are bad in our neck of the woods, i live in nova scotia and they recently released 2000 castrated wolves to try and get the population down,

  • @blindside357 I am in NS and there is no report of wolves being released. 2000 wolves would be more harmful to people than the current population of coyotes.

  • i tried to get a shot at a cyote with my remington 870 it came right close to the house but it ran off

  • stupid yotes, never did too much too our cows but they devestate our cats

  • Lost two year old cow last week

  • Keep trapping them coyotes guys!

  • Since 19 year old Taylor was recently killed by coyotes in eastern Canada, even the anti hunting crowds have had to admit there is a concern. Here, there was a bounty announced, running from now to March 31st. I really don't think that many will be killed, as they are very smart. I do believe though, that hunters out blasting away at them, will renew their fear of man, and hopefully make them remain in the wilderness. R.I.P. Taylor.

  • where can you find out about the bounty and the specific's as to what the rules are.

  • hey just wondering where your at?? i know in nova scotia(eastern canada) they have been talking about a bounty but havent put one in place yet.... ive actually walked the skyline trail that the girl was on in the cape breton highlands, and seen coyotes 40 feet from us but your in a middle of a protected park so you cant hunt them

  • @Downedworker Those are the coyotes that are breeding with the wolves.

In general, pure blood coyotes don't attack humans, unless they are sick or crossed with wolves.

  • @Downedworker I didn't even know her and it brought a tear to my eyes when i looked her up and listened to her music...so damn sad. Antis have no clue of what nature is really like.

  • in ohio u can hunt them all year. our trapping season starts november 10th and thats when u want to get them if your looking for fur. their winter coats r in by then. large leg traps work best for trapping, .223cal or .243cal are great for 100+ yard hunting, shotguns firing buckshot r great for close range. theres no bag limit on them.

  • are all the laws the same in ohio?

  • Anyone know if Coyotes can see light in the upper infrared spectrum. i.e. like a night vision lamp?

  • their the fastest k9?

  • no way you could spook me away from mcdonalds, so i doubt you could spook a coyote from a meal...I couldnt stop laughing when i heard that!!!

  • i hunt alot here in Louisiana and always see coyotes. i heard a few news stories about coyotes carring off children or trying to carry them off in cailfornia. great vid

  • can be posible but a coyote never attack if is alone only in groups or manade

  • I've lived in So Cal for over 35 years, never heard of a coyote carring off a child, plenty of mountain lion attacks on the mountain trails though. Of course if your stupid enough to stick your head in a lions den you shouldn't be too surprised if the lion bites it.

  • I live on the canadian east coast we get alot of coyote, they make me freak out when i see them alone on ATV. hehe

  • Coytotes are really becoming a big probem in eastern ky, five calfs dead, 3 chickens and my cat has been eaten.

  • they are also a big problem in indiana too, they are everywhere up here.

  • they tend to eat my farm cats. I don't really hold a grudge though, they're just doing what's natural. I'm just sad when a cat disappears.
