This as the song that one of the girls in the tv show 'pushy parents' attempted to sing - I really liked it and it took me ages to find out it was this was one of them looking heavily through all her lyrics and albums- glad I've found it.
So what are the final lyrics after the Agnus Dei? It goes "Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, dona eis requiem" and then she says one line twice. At 2:54, what does this mean?
@2fingertype75 So sorry to hear about your mom, I wish my mom could have heard this when she was dying, I think it would have given her peace, too. God bless.
She DOES have the voice of an angel! I wonder how young she was when she first started singing. I bet she was already singing as a baby! I love her singing!
Pie Jesu is really old, it dates back to the 13th century ... unfortunately I don't know who wrote it. Wikipedia says Thomas of Celano, but frankly it could be anyones guess.
Listening to Charlotte's voice leaves one awakened, refreshed, renewed, & more alive. Her voice can cleanse one's soul-witnessed by the tears of joy streaming copiously from your eyes.
@CChurchFan I checked out the websites. Her singing style is still much better, but It's not classical by far. I don't think she's back quite yet, but there's still hope.
Is it possable that as she aged that she lost her abilties or maybe she damaged her vocal cords somehow? There's alot of young voices singing choral type music, I hope she can still sing cause she truely had the voice of an angel
This song is one of my favorite songs in the entire world Charlotte Church sonds alot better then Sarah Brightman when she sings this song. Charlotte Church was 13 when she was signed a recording contract Sarah Brightman is in her late 40's and she sounds like a 6 year old when she sings. Charlotte sounds twice her age when she sings.
She's alive and well! She hosts TV shows and swears like nothing on earth! Personally I like her and she is funny (to me!). However, I think that she has lost favour with many people.
@colinlyne I honestly dont think we've heard the last of her in the singing world lol
She's only like 23 I mean Sarah brightman didn't resurface til a few years ago...lol and yes I agree shes hillarious I download eps of her show (they don't show it in the USA)
My God, she had so much potential if she stayed with opera/classical. Listen to how mature she sounds in this clip. So beyond her age. The lure of pop culture/music is so strong. I think she could have been better or at least as good as Sarah Brightman.
*Translation* Lord, have mercy Lord, have mercy You who take away the sins of the world Grant them peace Grant them peace Lamb of God, Lamb of God Lamb of God, Lamb of God You who take away the sins of the world Grant them peace Grant them peace Peace everlasting, everlasting

Sadly she did what most people do when they have a rare gift. They take it for granted and take another path.
Would her path have been one of the greatest who ever sang? Where all others would have been judged by her talent?
We will never know. She chose a different path than most would have. As long as she is happy.
I do hope she goes back just once and really sings again. It is her rare gift she has let slip away in singing pop.
as435943 2 years ago
Choosing to sing pop isn't giving up on her gift. Just because she has a gift doesn't mean she has to use it the way musical elitists want her to use it.
