I completely agree. While Alan was part of the band, the sounds could be heard as diferent layers, purer and more sofisticated, if you know what I mean.

Somehow my 101-Samples (I did them before I saw this video, I gave it 5 stars by the way, thank you) sound worse than yours. You use the DX100 as a midi controller, how does that work and what software do you use?

I had to make some edit job in order to make the "bell" sample sound good. I didn't want ambient noise from 101 movie so i cut it and made it short, then I added delay effect to make it natural and sound accurate like in original. Samples are arranged in Reason (NN-19). Some slight reverb was added to the NN-19 so every sample is put through the reverb.

You probably could have sampled the sequence percussive sound from the recording and added that if you have a sequencer.

Yes, the sounds are from the 101 movie with just a little bit of editing and eq.
