You think i named myself black vulcan?! hell no, i wanted to go by super volt... but black vulcan was aqua man's idea so i said oh yeah mabey we should just call you white fish?!
@Tenmi11ion LOL, why is this kind of accepted bigotry so prevelent today in 2012?! I'm so glad you have brought this out in the open even further. dc comics have even decided to finally change a huge mural in their office as you walk in that has only two or three non-white characters(out of something like a 100 characters) and one very grossly over exaggerated asain character. But it's been there for a loooooong time, doesn't that say alot about the company!
Oh my God! What the hell is this in the intro here? An "oil monster" that rises up out of an oil spill from a tanker in the ocean? Holy shit...shades of "Captain Planet" here already! I knew that there was gonna' be some politically correct trouble when I saw Black Vulcan, Apache Chief and Samuri taking center-stage. We sure as hell don't want to be saved by racist white heros when we're in trouble now do we? lol The demise of a great show...political correctness run amock!
where is the one episode-what is the name-of the episode where the space age rock and roll band come down , play music, and people go into a trance and cause Destruction?
It was the Warner imprint on a majority of their releases at the time. I remember it being at the end of alot of the old school animated cartoons produced by Warner back in the day.
The "Big W" was discontinued in 1984. The "Shield of Staleness," a return of their 1948 shield logo, showed up in movies in June 1984 and on TV in September 1984.
this is great finally someone has put up this intro plus the intro with El Dorado for the 1981 and 82 season. the seasons after the 82 season were the last 2 seasons that had Firestorm in them.

@JMFabianoRPL
Its the old 70's Warner Brothers logo, Warner owns DC comics.
NepperCat 2 years ago
I know, but that logo was usually used to open MOVIES.

@NepperCat
I wonder if Warner Bros. continued this practice by inserting their 1984 "Shield of Staleness" movie logo at the beginning.
ClassicTVMan81 2 years ago
The old school "W" orange on Black logo lasted til sometime in the early to mid 80's. It was completely abandoned by the 90s though.

Would you have the original 1980 closing credits to this incarnation of the SF legacy?
