I personally think that counter KILLS, NOT ATTACKS, should've been taken away from all weapons except the hidden blade, and counter attacks shouldn't do any damage; I got killed around 5 times by a templar wacking me in the stomach. Second, I think you get too much health. But, despite these things, it's an excellent game.

Altair has been trained to be a deadly assassin. He can fight off the entire city's guards, kill his target without detection, but... can't swim??

Make enemy AI more aggresive, fix the facial animations and blood, make altair swim, make him climb as fast as in AC2, and make the missions a little more interesting. This is all that Assassins Creed needs.

Today I discovered on AC2, if you're fighting with fists, holding down the attack button makes Ezio pick up dirt and throw it in the guards' eyes! I totally forgot you could do this! Dirty fighting, or what?

Also, the storyline for the first game is much more straight forward, Al Mualim gives you orders which many consists of lengthy cut-scenes that will drive you mad, but it builds up nicely for the twist at the end. However, on 2 you play Ezio's whole damn life so you actually forget why he's killing all these Templars unless you really concentrate on plot detail. But it is refreshing to be confronted with a mixture of cut scenes from many different people and places.

I just push them over and kill them with the hidden blade when they are getting back up. Some times when you attack them with the sword or shortblade the just moan on the ground so you have to finish them off with the hidden blade.
