A WindCutter microphone windscreen would reduce the wind noise caused by wind striking the microphone. If you record sound with a camcorder, they have a Stick-On WindCutter that's reasonably priced and very effective.

@SEARLY100 I agree with you on that mate,wind on mic ,not a good recording of the wind itself,just did a wind test on the Rode Blimp/NTG2 just for the purpose of gettin my own soundbites.

Can you go climb that mountain again, make another recording, and freeze your ass off for 30 minutes or so? This one is too short. But it's the only thing I can find that puts me to sleep.

So this is totally familiar. Don't know why I'm watching this on youtube when I can just step outside in the backyard.... LOL

This is a really good sample. Most of Youtube videos only have the sound of air friction on the mic. This one is the actual sound of the wind through objects and especially, through wind!
