Yes, boxsterwelby, you can say that to the Thais. Because you are not Khmer and you never knew how a majority of Thais have treated Khmers. I am not even go as far when Khmers were living in refugee camps in Thailand. They treated Khmer inhumanely. My most recent encountered was when I visited Bangkok when they knew that I am Khmer they didn't want to help me and stopped being friendly with me. That is many Khmers do not Thai Airway to go to Cambodia.

I love how the american cambodians (not real cambodians) are so loving when someone appreciates their culture, but can't refrain from hating on somebody at the end of every statement. It sounds something like this "Thanks for realizing our art and for loving us and appreciating us. Oh, by the way we hate Thai people"! Why can cambodians hate Thai people, but you're angry when they hate you! Practice what you preach. If you want peace, then don't start a war!

Cambodian don't hate Thailand or any other country. They deserved appreciations and credits that is due to them. They've been suffering for hundreds of years through invasions from neighbors. Civil war, genocide 1973-.. Much of their lands, culture, treasures, religious, and arts was lost or stolen. Cambodian never invade Thailand or any other country. Only the remains of their ancestor's Angkor Wat is the facts that left traits of who they are.

Yeah, I appreciate the culture. But, like I said there are a lot of angry cambodian americans that don't even live in cambodia who are angry at thailand and the u.s. Why is that? When cambodia's history was burned, so was part of thailand's history. I think the big picture is that even though the countries have different names, the people and tribes are almost identical. South east asia should be on the same side not fighting against eachother. They should preserve all of the culture of the area

I agree the people of Thailand, Cambodian including Laos are almost identical. I think or even know Thai's do not considered they are a cousin to neither Cambodian or Laos. Why do some Thais think this way? I mean look at our writing, our food, religious or even our arts are almost identical as well. Thai claim they are better and nothing related to Cambodian at all. While on the contrary Cambodians admired and even appreciated Thai in so many ways. That would most explain the anger.

I understand the hardship of cambodia. But, when talking about fighting in the ring and who has the more entertaining sport khmers always go back to who had the last civil war and thailand stole the alphabet. That has nothing to do with the ring sport. And, for every bad thing that happened to cambodia in our less sophisticated years also happened to thailand. The countries have similar history and roots they should be helping eachother not arguing of borders and who burned whos history more.

Lastly, why shouldn't thailand be proud of what they've accomplished? Look at all the other countries in that area. Thailand is the most successful. I know it's hard for cambodia and myanmar with the wars and such. But, does that mean thailand shouldn't be proud with what they've done with their boxing and their tourist business? They are proud of what they've accomplished as Thais and they owe that to themselves not south east asia. I think what they disassociate themselves from is the wars.

I don't think Thailand is the most successful as per you claimed. If you read a website on my channel, you can see how many times that Thailand has to protest against Cambodia over Khmer Preah Vihear Temple.

Khmer people are proud people for helping Tai aka Siam aka Thai to become a nation today. But if Thailand still repeat its agression over and over again, I am afraid that Thai leaders will be in tears again.

I'm speaking in present terms of the success of thailands economy. I'm not concluding the constant argument between boarders and history, I'm talking about the present success. Thailand doesn't owe that to anyone. Infact, if they were to follower suit in s.e. asia, they would still be in term oil and war. I appreciate cambodia, laos, vietnam and myanmar. Their cultures are beautiful. But, I don't have to appreciate their cultures to appreciate thailand's. Do you understand what I'm saying?
