  • 2:25 The master, show a little lesson

  • The ending of this song reminds me of the ending of bye bye love by the cars.

  • great guitar ripping by one of the greatest ever !!!! love the solos !!wow !

  • Why has he turned into a mainstream heap of shite????

  • @1959child Mainstream heap of shite? All musicians evolve to what they want their sound to be. Why would you concentrate on the music from them that you dislike instead of enjoying the great songs that have been recorded?

  • @Olson3529 evolving into mainstream can be a very bad move. that's why you never hear of Santana any more. go figure.

  • @shariotoflove NEVER HEAR FROM ANYMORE? He's 64 years old with a career that goes back to the first Woodstock! I love it when shallow people think that their opinions are the standard that we all should adhere to! Go back and rehash your old classic rock and stay in the little pigeon hole of music that you hold so dear! I LOVE ALL MUSIC!

  • @Olson3529 woah, stop frothing at the mouth and listen! no one is doubting the immenseness of Santana and the likes. BUT its a fact that any band that started out underground or was not mainstream, initially, always eventually burn out when they decide to go mainstream. Regarding mainstream, i mean altering the music to one that is more 'radio friendly' and kinda generic. Bands that where meant to be mainstream from the off also succeed in their own right, and make some great music as well.

  • The strange thing about this song is that I don't hear any timbales or congas anywhere. I guess they were trying something different for once.

  • were FIVE, now we are SIX 4/41

14 - in the Marquesas happens THIS.

15 - WE ARE ALL THE SAME

were FIVE, now we are SIX 5/41

    Santana - Searching

  • What a guitar solo, so incredible a good example of why is the best.

  • man I heard this album when I turned 14 . It was and still is his best album

  • not the right hand of Jimi Hendrix, but WITH Jimi. I mean they both played woodstock right?

  • 3.33 the best starts here!

  • He should be seaten ant the right hand of jimi hendrix

  • I just heard it live @ Red Rocks!

  • Great riff, Santana is God.

  • If you wanna feel good, like the doctor said...

  • I was having a massive eargasm while listening to this at the concert a week ago. Santana = pure awesomeness.

  • i have this on lp its awesome i love listening to it in my room before bed

  • Sweet memories yeah, but I can't remember!

  • this song brings back some sweet memories

  • Awwww yeaahhh

  • I saw Santana in concert three times in 1979, 1980, & 1981 at Poplar Creek in Hoffman Estates Illinois. Aside from being a phenemonela guitarist, Carlos Santana is also a tremendous percussionist!! At all three concerts, Carlos got in on the drum solo with Graham Lear and did a fantastic drum solo!!

  • I could've sworn this song was used in 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High' during the scene where Spicoli(Sean Penn) and Forrest Whitakers little bro were beating the sh*t out of his brand new Camaro Z28. I like thinking of that movie when I hear this song, haha!

  • after Rollie left vocalists have been leon patillo, greg walker then alex ligertwood who debuted on marathon.

  • oh yeah!!!!!!!!!!!millions ,,of stars ,,,KILLERPOST,GOD BLESS YA ,,AND HAPPY EASTER

  • Jeez, amazing! Haven't listened to this since 1978-1979 Thanx so much for making this track (& others available again!)

  • Vocals on this tune are by Greg Walker......Alex Ligertwood didn't come to Carlos's band until a few years later!

  • Ironically all people were invited to Santana's Party

  • @ZunZaraVoMu This is Alex Ligertwood, who was lead vocalist for Santana, after Gregg Rolie left to form Journey, with Neal Schon. My fave from this time is 'All I Ever Wanted' Up-tempo rocker :D

  • Comment removed

  • if u wanna avoid electrocution, cut this at 2.30 or u wil have your brain fried by Carlos Devadip Santana's genius ! ROCK ON !

  • This is by far Santana's best song.

  • Up until recently I thought Carlos sung this, does he? I wish he sung ALL these songs ;)

  • I listened to Santana when I was up and they rock. Way fun!

  • sexy ass song! im tellin ya!

  • Let's make love.

    Alright, that sounds cool.

  • Man some of this guitar work here is comparable to Jimi Hendrix.. And that's same alot coming from a guy who believes Jimi Hendrix is the best ever, bar none!

    Great great guitar work!

  • @boxingin many won't agree with me in this, but jimi hendrix (and slash) is way overrated. Listen to metal and you will be subject to some true guitar gods. Take Jeff Loomis for example. Would shred over jimi any day.

  • @Headlandhunter That's the point though, shredding is nowhere near as interesting as carefully chosen notes, people just go crazy without breaks which leads to it being tedious to listen to.

  • @parisianUK

    this this this this this

  • @Headlandhunter Jeff Loomis better than Slash? LOL! That right there shows just how much you know...

  • hell yeah

  • Great song. I played this song in a bar band in Ketchikan, Alaska way back in 1990.

  • "Open Invitation" beats any song by Honnah Sluttana, The Jonass Gaylords and Justin Cocksucker into the dust! Liked and faved!

  • facebook

  • 2:26 on is the best part ever. Awesome solo.

  • Carlos is DEEP. Dont forget to get around to the inner secrets ! Same as Stevie inner visions....

  • coming to tampa :)

  • F%^** !!!! Soul-caressing play !!!

  • I now have the Inner Secrets CD and the whole thing is awesome! Great music!

  • @kenpalmer1965 yeah! on of my favorites as well...
