U.S. Military personnel do not follow immoral orders. They are instructed from basic training that following an immoral order can lead to disciplinary action under the uniform code of military justice, which, depending on the instance in question could lead to a prison or death sentence. As of December 3, 2011, the Posse Comitatus Act is under threat of repeal from the National Defense Authorization Act.. This is the same legislation which, as currently written, will allow the assassination or indefinite detention without trial of American citizens anywhere in the world including in the US.

You can be damn sure you wouldn't hear Marines or Rangers saying they felt "their lives were in danger" because of some students and tents. U.S. Military personnel do not follow immoral orders. They are instructed from basic training that following an immoral order can lead to disciplinary action under the uniform code of military justice, which, depending on the instance in question could lead to a prison or death sentence. I seriously doubt that any rational minded person who maintains proper military bearing would ever shoot an American citizen, even under an immoral order to do so. Some of you have too much Hollywood in your tv.

Almost every civilian death in war is the result of an immoral order, and unfortunately there have been a great many. Entire wars in recent memory have lacked any moral justification.
