  • Roth is such a blubbering idiot. Acts like a child. Douchebag

  • once again Dave can't shut is mouth...mic whore

  • "May very well represent 3/4 of one of the greatest R-N-R bands EVER....." Hmmmmmmm, D.Miller is saying what we ALL KNOW and want to say!

  • Why do so many black dudes love Roth-era Van Halen ??

  • @Hunkola Because DLR was the first black president.

  • i find it hard to watch dlr

  • to see the classic lineup was cool, even though this was a staged promo for the greatest hits cd. but the way eddie told sammy he was out back on fathers day of 96 was crap. sammy was with his wife and newborn when ed called him up and said he had a bad work ethic. sammy didn't exactly lay low did he? ed though things were going to work out with roth so damn well. we know how 96 ended.

  • The GOD himself..

  • Eddie grabbing Dave and moving him out of the microphone is just hilarious. Definitely one of the most uncomfortable videos out there. Although to be fair, I don't know why they agreed to this. Dave is gonna act like Dave and they were up there on stage like "we didn't expect this at all".

  • Some of you people should not be allowed to speak in public cause you have not idea what you are talking about. Just stick to watching cartoons on the weekend and playing with your barbie dolls. Sammy Hagar has had so much success in his career. From Montrose, to his solo career, to Van Halen, and now Chickenfoot. And they are all great. What does David Lee Roth have without Van Halen??? The answer is NOTHING....His solo career was a joke, he cant play an instrument...just face it. Sammy rocks!!

  • 0:17 THAT STAGE IS VERY PRETTY...#OFF TOPIC

  • david lee roth is a putz. dude, don't be such an a**hole.

  • If Dave only kept his ego under check, they could have reunited a long time ago. They still sounded great on the 2007 tour.

  • all the applause is for Diamond Dave....the KING!!!!!!!!!

  • Classic Van Halen is so good that they even had black folks standing and applauding.

  • @olio8773 i know right? lol

  • @olio8773 Chris Rock is actually a HUGE Van Halen fan :)

  • they introduce van halen everyone cheers than dave walks out everyone cheers louder love it

  • Dos anyone have the press conference afterwards???

  • Can you imagine if they got back together in 96??! Biggest tour EVER!!

  • "Eddie" looks like a painter .-)

  • That crowd went fuckin crazy.

  • Why do experienced musicians and actors always break their necks trying to get as close as possible to a mic when presenting/recieving awards.. It's a bloody mic! It's job is to pick up sound! relax.. stand backl! Speak. It will take care of the rest. You don't hjave to be Quazimodo for the night! You do it on stage and in a studio every god damn day of your life lol

  • @SteveLondonSky Well, I'm a drummer, so I don't speak into mics, but I remember back in the day (eighties) when I played in hard rock bands that the soundmen always told the vocalists to "eat their mics" so they could penetrate the loud Marshall amps that they were competing with on stage. I suppose that nowadays the mics are a lot more sensitive so you don't have to eat the mic.

  • Sure the crowd went crazy seeing these 4 guys together, but instead of having them all standing there and exchanging ackward pleasantries that eventually turned towards breaking them apart again, they shoulda had instruments in hand, blazed through a couple classic cuts and teased a tour. Crowd still woulda went crazy and they wouldn't have time for all those crazy moments backstage and just gotten on with it. Thats what I would do as a promoter. Freakin' Sammy Hagar and Gary Cherone Roth IS VH!

  • DAVE IS GOD..............SAMMY SUCKS!!!!!

  • i just heard on the radio that eddie and sammy are indeed on speaking terms.

  • Wasn't there drama after immediately after this?..what happened?..anybody know?..i saw this live back in the day and then they broke up quickly..

  • @LBjim You can read about it in David Lee Roth's autobiography Crazy From the Heat (from 1997). It's pretty disturbing. Eddie is quoted as saying some atrocious things and behaving like a dork during the subsequent press meetings. Although he makes it sound worse than it looks in this video (which doesn't say a lot about either source).

  • @lidbjork im not sure how much stock i would put into what dave roth says.i wish micheal anthony would write a book because he is the one who comes accross as the most believable out of all of them.

  • What happened between van halen and Michael anthony. Why has he been replaced by Wolfgang!

  • i think its funny how the rothies still feel the need to point out that this is the "real" van halen 15 years after the fact.the fact that it needs to be pointed out is actually a compliment to the van hagar years.most (including me) would say that the first 6 albums were the best but what eddie, mike and alex did after replacing a very popular singer in dave roth is impressive and not many bands could have pulled that off.

  • @Pat9201 you are right Van Helen sold more records with Sammy than David..go figure...

  • @LBjim actually they didnt, they sold more with dave but most bands sell more when they are in their twentys then they do later on even if they dont change a single member.

  • @LBjim No, Roth-34 million Hagar-16 million.

    Not even half.

  • is dave straight?

  • @Pat9201 Would he have carried paternity insurance if he wasn't?

  • @DLRisVH im sorry but after watching clips from the last tour....i think we have a gay,he's at the very least Bi.im pretty sure the paternity insurance thing was just for show.

  • Eddie is a carpenter here

  • They never perform anything from 5150 because "Diamond Dave" can't friggin sing any of those tough songs.

    LOSERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sammy and Michael Rule!!!!

  • @liam13coins Why the fuck would he want to?

  • 3 quarters of the best rnr band ever? Why 3 quarters ... ?

  • @ColtraneTaylor theres only 3 of em up there...

  • @br00t4lbreakdownzfuk Dave, Mike, Alex, Eddie?

  • @ColtraneTaylor oops, thought that was the host wearing that black suit. my bad. dno why then

  • One of the greatest MTV moments EVER!!!!!!

  • @ 0.57 dumb biotch finally decides to stand up. She has no clue:)

  • Van Halen had zero choice but to take DLR back in 2007. They were all washed up.

  • what is that outfit roth is wearing lol. that look didnt catch on

  • @MissDeeCole his belt line is at his chest, lmao. What a fucking tool. And then he hugs Ed. Yeah, THAT wasnt just for show...

  • This is a freaking disaster. Read DLR:s autobiography for more info, although I really can't say how biased it is.

  • Every single member of Van Halen is talented and fun as hell. No one can compete with them. There is no "________ sucks", or "_________ is a douche bag". They are fucking amazing.

  • Dennis Miller = BORING DOUCHER

    Beck = BORING DOUCHER

David Lee Roth = THE ULTIMATE SHOWMAN

  • @Hunkola you wanna explain WHY! the "ultimate asshole" Fucked up the reunion tour twice?

explain WHY since 1996 Thats 15 YEARS! Fifteen YEARS! hasn't released a NEW VH CD?!

Roth = the utimate Douch Bag!

some of you Dumb young fuck are BLIND Fans!

  • @MetalHeart8787 dave rules stop crying

  • @motleycrue24 21 huh?

well Retard i was listening VH before you were fukin Born!!

Beside the last lp they did was before you were born & theve been reunited since 98

13 years on & OFF & on, no wait were on, off

were back this isnt a reunion its a "new band" & NO NEW CD! how the fuk does that "rule"?

  • @MetalHeart8787 congratulations there sport

  • "3/4ths" of the greatest rock bands of all time? Is Dennis Miller on crack?

  • Next tour, why don't you guys make yourselves useful and print up some "Chickenfoot Sucks" and "Wolfgang WHO?" T-shirts, wearing them proudly in masses. Maybe then they'll get the damn point that nothing wets fans' panties faster and gets consumers' wallets out quicker than a FULL BAND REUNION TOUR!

  • DLR is such a freaking douche. What a fucking tool that guy is. I dont think that I could stand being around him for 5 seconds without wanting to douse him in gas and light him on fire....

  • @resqfireman Greatest frontman EVER. The ONLY singer for Van Halen!

  • @DLRisVH Agreed. But he still acts like a douche. His schtick is fucking boring and lame. If he would just sing, and shut his fucking mouth, he would be far more likeable, lol

  • @resqfireman sounds like you missed the last tour....

  • @resqfireman Here's my take on VH: Around '95 or '96 is when EVH started losing his marbles. I think that the MAIN reason that they reunited (other than money) was so Ed could play with Wolfie (stupid name) on stage, hence badmouthing Michael Anthony, which Ed is notorious for doing to other members aside from his brother. And then, 3 out of the 4 dont show up for their RRHoF induction? Idiots. I know that Ed supposedly entered rehab just days prior to the ceremony, but there was more to it.

  • @DLRisVH if dave roth is so great why does he need van halen?

  • @Pat9201 Van Halen needed Roth as much as he needed them. The 2004 tour was a dismal failure. Sure, the band got their guarantee (Pay). But promoters couldn't GIVE the tickets away. Many cities were offering 2 for one with a non perishable donation, JUST TO GET ASSES IN THE SEATS!

Meanwhile the 2007/08 tour? EVERY SHOW SOLD OUT!

    THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN!!!

  • @DLRisVH what were the final totals on the roth solo tour from the last decade?did he even tour?at this point van halen needs dave but dave really needs van halen.ppl care alot more about van hagar then they do solo roth.

  • @Pat9201 Answer? He isn't...

  • @resqfireman i think anybody paying attention can see dave is gay and you kind of have to wonder about his hardcore fans too...;^)

  • @resqfireman Ya grew up in the Hagar era, I see.... Pity.

  • @DLRisVH No, I actually grew up in the DLR and Hagar eras. I just think that DLR is a fucking tool that acts like an ass. He really isn't funny, his be-bop bullshit is lame, and he looks gay. But a great frontman in VH until 1985? Absolutely.

  • 0:45 Jon Stewart's lovin it!

  • can someone tell who's who on here, i'm not really familiar with van halen members, i just heard that this particular moment was awkward so i wanted to see it.

  • @RBlover20 I read the same thing on yahoo. But this didn't seem to be awkward. Yet I.m sure this wasn't the whole clip. : 22 as they enter the stage. Eddie Van Halen - guitar, keys, vocals. Alex Van Halen - drums. Michael Anthony - bass, vocals. David Lee Roth

  • @RAPSUCKS1738 thanks! i got it from yahoo too and you're right, it doesn't look awkward at all

  • David Lee Roth fail...he really was being a tool, no wonder Eddie didn't want him back.

  • the year 2pac died... thats what i think everytime i see anything from '96

  • ugh! it's creepy watching the four of them faking their way through "having fun" sharing the same stage for the first time in over a decade!

  • then Kanye West out of nowhere "HEY DAVE I GOTTA TELL YA' , YOUR A GREAT SINGER AND ALL, BUT SAMMY HAGAR IS ONE OF THE BEST SINGERS VAN HALEN HAS EVER HAD"

  • this is where the shit hit the fan for Van Halen fans. i remember watching this live in 1996. Dave stole the show and equally put his foot in his mouth!!!!

  • When MTV VMAs were exciting and one of the best moments. The crowd went nuts. Hell if Kanye was there, he even improve & bow down to great VH/Dave era. Respect.

  • Sammy Hagar = CUM-GUZZLIN' WEIRDO

David Lee Roth = GREATEST FRONTMAN EVER

  • @Hunkola Nuff said!

  • I feel, today, upon hearing of the reunion, that I waited 26 yrs to sh**, and its finally happened.

  • i love Roth he is one of the greatest performers EVER but just look how nervous the rest of the band are standing next to him it was never gonna happen.

  • Roth is a fucking clown.

  • @captmclain

A clown that's also a great showman & one of the best frontman in rock & roll. After who did they get The guy from Extreme. The results, the worst selling album in their career. Even Sammy laughed at VH3.

  • @blachubear Yea what the hell were they thinking? And now they dump Michael Anthony for Eddie's son. WTF

  • Van Halen and MTV. sounds like the 1980's!

  • DLR is so high on cocain he has a joker crazy smile frozen on his face.

but without him VH was just plain wrap- and now who cares ?

  • D.L.R is a Di*KHe*d....

  • 1:24 Eddie says Fuck DLR. I've already had enough of this clown.

  • @barkleyspider

Yeah, then Ed finally pulled his head out of his ass much later & said Fuck the Cabo Wabo clown. I'm gonna give VH the shot in it's arm it so badly needed for years & sell out arenas across the country with DLR & pull in the band's highest grossing tour ever with his help, 93 million.

  • @Kickstart25 Yep.... Strange world.

  • david lee roth lives to play with van halen. he IS van halen and fuck sammy hagar and gary cherone.

  • Shit, I'm black and I love VH regardless of what incarnation. It's all about the music peeps, and anyone no matter what color, should be able to know that VH is GOOD music!!

  • A good example of what happens when someones ego gets the best of them. Some people just love being in the limelight.

  • Hunkola, you're exactly right. Eddie is NOT all that matters in Van Halen's history. Each member, whether it's Alex, Michael, Eddie or any lead singer made big contributions to what Van Halen is/was (Okay, Gary, not so much).

  • the thing i have against Hagar (and i like that era too) his fav lyric is BABY THIS AND BABY THAT. or love this and love that. They did have alot of rocking songs with him, but too much sappy love stuff. Listen the song Not Enough off balance, sounds like a commerical to the united way. and live. he threw way too many of his solo songs in the setlist, rather than doing old roth stuff. Eddie was in a jam and needed a singer, so he let Hagar kinda have his way alot in the beginning..

  • @earlymtv he thing i have against Hagar (and i like that era too) his fav lyric is BABY THIS AND BABY THAT. or love this and love that.

    --

Love Walks In, When It's Love, Why Can't This Be Love, Can't Stop Loving You, Don't Tell Me What Love Can Do, Feels So Good (..."when LOVE comes around..."), Not Enough ("LOVE hurts you sometimes..."). One of their hardest rockers Humans Being is the one Hagar hated the most, of course...

  • they were the biggest band on that stage at that time. and a big deal to be back with roth. who cares about metallica or beck.. who wernt even around in 1984.

  • @earlymtv Metallica was around in 1984. Granted, they were fairly new, but hey...they were around. :-)

  • I really want to see the 4 original members of VH back together - even though Dave acts like a total assclown most of the time, it's the original sound I want; and Eddie's original setup too - his old sound was better.

  • bippity boppity boo...

  • @rjst09 well said.

  • The original Van Halen was exactly what rock fans needed at this point in time. Things got so dreary with the grunge movement in the mid-90's and people got tired of it fast. The audience was thrilled to see Roth because it instantly reminded them of times that were happier and a lot more fun. Roth was kind of like the Superman of rock n' roll and It was nice to feel GOOD again! Too bad the reunion didn't happen...

  • @rch9000 Music doesn't have to be happy/cheery/superdeedooper all the time. As fun as Van Halen was, they were also kinda cheesy. Bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and Pearl Jam are constantly being regarded as some of the best of all time. So hey, grunge might've been dreary and depressing, but at least it was real emotion spoken through GREAT music.

  • @WFerraro, i like both. I was just saying that, at this point in time, people were ready for a shift back to something fun. And as we now know, grunge did in fact lose it's foothold not long hereafter - so there's your proof. But I enjoy Alice in Chains as much as I do Van Halen.

  • only standing ovation the whole night!

  • eddie is a fuckin whiny bitch, he complained about how roth stole the limelight in this appearance later.... what a loser....

  • It's like PERFECTION on stage!! Lords of Rock n Roll. David Lee Roth just puts the biggest smile on my face.

  • I wish they would have done the reunion tour with Mike. And that Dave had kept the hair long.

  • @ShadowOfTheWave Dave's been wearing a wig for the last 15 years. I believe he had a hair transpant recently.

  • Look at that shit...fucking standing ovation for the man. Ladies & gentlemen...the REAL Van Halen !!

  • @Kickstart25 actually its a standing ovation for the band,if dave walks out there with the DLR band then nobody cares.BTW bring back mike.

  • @Pat9201

True, but the crowd went even more nuts when they saw Dave hit the stage with the band. You think the overweight tequila salesman would get a reception like this walking out with VH now? Hell NO he wouldn't... especially after slamming Ed in his new book.

The standing ovation was for the REAL VH lineup!!

  • @Kickstart25 maybe so but still, the ovation was for the band as a whole.you think dave gets that ovation with his solo band?you may not think much of van hagar and thats fine but roth is nothing without van halen.

  • @Pat9201

You think Hagar gets that ovation with the Wa-BORE-itas?

Sorry, but Sam doesn't get that ovation with or without Van Halen now. Nuff said.

  • @Kickstart25 no i dont but im not really hung up on the hagar thing.there is alot more to a band then who happens to be the singer.lets face it,the entire thing revolves around eddie...the true talent in the band.

  • @Kickstart25 ppl still say "nuff said"?thats funny..LOL

  • @Pat9201

What's even funnier is that you can't refute anything I said in my last reply about Hagar.

Some people still give a shit about Van Hagar? That's funny too! LOL!

  • @Kickstart25 i never tried too refute anything about hagar, its all about eddie.some people just dont have the abilty to look past the lead singer(no matter how gay he appears)

  • Hey look.......Van Hagar was a love ballad machine.......if you like to cry during a song, then Sammy Hagar was your kind of buttplug.

That's not what the REAL Van Halen was about, people.......Roth had an upbeat attitude about life......it came through in all those six legendary VH albums.......they had plenty of attitude, swagger, and smiles.

  • I agree!! You think if Hagar came on stage today in his bright yellow XXL pajamas & sandles with Halen he'd get a reception like this? HELL NO!!

  • @Hunkola hmmmm....so shallow..........listen to The Seventh Seal, Amsterdam, Good Enough, Its About Time, Up For Breakfast, Big Fat Money, and then tell us about buttplugs and love ballads..........

  • @somewayout --

You are so wrong, bud.......songs like "Up for Breakfast" are typical retarded shit you get with Van Hagar.......just look at the stupid lyrics -- "She puts butter on my biscuit, cherries on my banana, cream in my coffee, honeydew my melons". Who wrote this garbage -- a horny 5th grader??

  • @Hunkola not bashin ya man, but listen to ALL of their music and not just the hits and take the "popular" general opinion.....because REAL VH fans dont debate the DLR/Hagar and hell, even the Cherone shit .....cuz its about the music, and every artist has phases of genres and sounds they go thru, especially over a 30 year period.....its called DIVERSITY which alot of shit music of today doesnt have....

  • @somewayout --

You just dont seem to get the REAL Van Halen.......it wasn't about sappy love ballads talking about why love is so confusing.......it was about swagger and attitude......it was about looking at life with optimism and humor.......and David Lee did that 1000 times better than a tequila salesman douche like Sammy.

  • @Hunkola The only knock I'll give on the Sammy era, is that too many of the song titles had the word "Love" in it which makes for that stupid opinion.(although I agree with you Cant Stop Lovin You is pretty cheezy) People should do some some full research about a bands complete catalog before making dumbass assumptions....

  • @somewayout --

Love is exactly the problem with Van Hagar.........Sammy joined VH and they went from being the baddest rock band on the planet to another shitty version of Journey. Sammy just seemed so fucking weird always singing about why he doesnt understand love. HE IS A TOTAL QUEER.....AND A REAL FAT FUCK.

  • @Hunkola thats whats wrong today, its all about the singles and hits, and only listening to certain songs.....open your mind to VH's and hell, any bands full catalog of material and you'll remove said buttplugs from your ears.

But I will agree with you on Cant Stop Loving You.....thats cheezy goodness Mayor McCheese couldnt touch....

  • @somewayout --

If you wanna learn about the REAL Van Halen.......when it stood for something powerful and shook the world with it's greatness......just listen to the entire "Fair Warning" album........it will change your life and make you understand what the word awesome really means. Also watch the infamous '81 Oakland videos to see how mighty VH was back in the day.

  • @Hunkola I have listened to the entire Fair Warning album....and IMO its their best with Dave.....and "Mean Street" is probably one of the best "Songs to open an album" ever, although Filter's "Sand/Welcome to The Fold" is my fave.......

But i hear what you're trying to get at, and thats the diversity i was talking about, i mean no band thats been around 30 years is going to sound exactly the same on every single record the put out (although Nicklecrap is pushin that envelope).

  • @somewayout --

I just dont share your enthusiasm for Van Hagar, dude........to me, it was like having a Playboy Playmate as your girlfriend and she fucked and sucked like a porn star.......but then you dump her and date an ugly 300 lb. bitch with yellow teeth! That's what it's like going from Roth Halen to Van Hagar. Roth-era VH made awesome music that is timeless, whereas Van Hagar is corporate garbage -- so forgettable.

  • @Hunkola its not so much enthusiasm as I happen to like and find enjoyment in all three versions of VH......and yeah about Up for breakfast.....I like the music to that song....the lyrics are complete shit......but i think thats why we disagree here is that I listen more to VH for the music rather than who is singing.....and in refrence your analogy....then what would Cherone have been? LOL

  • @somewayout --

I just hate when someone says "It's all about Eddie - who cares who the singer is". VH is not some plug-n-play band where the frontman has no influence. Dave and Sammy had totally different perspectives on the world and the songs reflected that. I just like Dave's attitude better because he was both angry and happy about life but he always sang about it with humor. Cherone was just a lame weirdo.

  • @Hunkola If i want fast past hard heavy for that day....Fair Warning.....if I want anthemy ballad-esque, with pianos and synths thats fast and slow.....prob FUCK or Balance.....its just good we can have both.....and then Van Cherone too....."Without You" and "Fire in The Hole" are vastly underrated songs from that album.

  • @Hunkola

I agree. that era is over and never coming back. but 81 fair wARNING was great stuff.

  • Hagar wouldn't get a reception like that.

OK Van Hagar were successful enough, but it was a lowest common denominator kind of success and they were a completely different band. There was no attitude. Thats what early VH is all about-the attitude.

  • They became a pop band with Sammy. Love the guy, but DLR is REAH VH.

  • @SwingRiots And DLR wouldnt get a response like that by himself. He's a fucking tool, his jokes are lame, and his be-bop bullshit is gay. You can see his ego filling the room here. I have a little song I wrote (to the tune of "Just a Gigolo")

"I've a got a huge ego, and everywhere I go

    People cant fucking stand me"

"Was thrown out of my band, with my dick in my hand

Now I can act like a douche without Eddie"

"There will come a day, when my hair will go away

Who will come and see me?"

  • @SwingRiots - you're right,. it wasn't about attitude,. it was about grammy award winning music. Something dlr (obvious flamer) could never provide anyone. Seriously., u can't tell he's gay?? SERIOUSLY?!!?

  • @toobuku76 im glad someone else can see that dave is at the very least bi sexual.

  • Wow 14 years gone by.

  • With Roth, sure their Lp's had a more rawer sound, a little more edgier if that's the right choice of words. But with Roth live in concert, you would be lucky to get a great performance out of Dave except for his BS talk and karate kicks.

With Hagar, Lp's were a little more polished, a little more "commercial"...but live, Hagar was a singer and a great frontman. With Hagar, VH was simply the best and better than the other crap that was out there at the time.

  • whats with all the arguments about dlr vs sammy hagar, both singers are incredible with vh. summer nights is equal to running with the devil in its superb awesomeness. i personally prefer roth, but 5150 is one of vh's best

  • Getting so sick of you Sammy Hagar cocksuckers in here !!

If Van Hagar took the stage at the MTV Awards 12 years after they broke up......they would NEVER, NEVER, NEVER get a standing ovation like Roth Halen did in 1996.

Roth Van Halen is the band that shook the world to it's core with the greatest rock music ever made.........Van Hagar is pussified faggot music for sensitive soccer Moms..........CASE CLOSED, ASSHOLES.

  • well I dont like van hagar either, but none of that had anything to do with hagar or roth at all. Eddie is the one that was writing the music, he was the one that went soft. IF and when they release a new album with roth, it's going to be just as shitty as anything they've done sense he left. The best you can hope for is roth with have a little pride and say fuck that shit and bail before he signs anything.

  • Running with the devil! (;

  • THe real Van Halen ......

  • Hmmm....lets see 1996. DLR comes out on stage with the band as new front man and then gets fired again 2 months later for being an ASSSSS...! HE SUCKS. Let's go back to 2002 and the Champions of Rock Tour. Sammy vs DLR. Hmmm...why were the seats only full when Sammy was on stage? I was at the Dalls show and Sammy when on first played for an 90 min to a sold out arena and then DLR came out. 40% of the house was leaving. We waited for two songs so we could get down the aisle.

  • @Swordsfor200Alex, that's weird b/c I saw the C. of R. Tour in Chicago and it was the opposite situation. Dave opened and the arena was full. Then, Sammy came on to close and A LOT of people left. I actually like both, but I must admit, the crowd enjoyed Dave's set much more.

  • Theres no "real" Van Halen with out Roth. Roth is the icing on the cake and the "soul" of the band. Eddie was (had) always the problem. Like, what happened to Michael? Hagar had to blackmail Eddie to get Michael on tour in 2006. 1984, nuff said!

  • Swordsfor200Alex they never hired them back they just called him up to see if he wouldnt to record two new songs on the greatest hits album everybody just assumed... eddie admitted tho going and bringing dave to the mtv video award was a total mistake

  • I saw the tour in Massachusetts and Sammy blew DLR off the stage also!!!! DLR made a Hagar comment during his set and got booed for 5 minutes. DLR had to apoligize to get the crowd back!!! I agree with you, Hagar kicked his ass on the tour!!!!

  • For the love of God, get rid of Wolfie!

  • @JOSHSKORN been a vh fan since the start, and michael anthony is easily replaceable, i love the guy, but the only thing he really contributed to vh was his vocals, which wolfie will do, i saw live stuff from them, and they are killer,

  • David has always been his worst enemy. I love this guy and to me there is no one who can do the job as good as he does, the problem is that he has the Robin Williams syndrome, where he thinks he is so fucking funny, doing his shtick and voices and impersonations. It's just fucking annoying. He doesn't know when to shut up. It's like the guy who lives down the street and he fucking knows it all.

  • @ pestwiz

*Ego tripping* They call it cocaine dude, nothing to do with Robin Williams...

  • Let's see if Van Hagar ever takes the stage and gets a reception like this........everyone knows the real Van Halen had Dave in it.........it was the only VH that ever mattered.......and a standing ovation for 5 min. from a mixed audience proves the point.

  • that wound up to be 10 more years of real Van Halen lost to the hagar and cherone days....man just what coulda' been.....glad they're back though.

  • Wrong. Micheal Anthony is in "the real" Van Halen.

  • I remember this. I remember how pissed off I was that it wasn`t to be Dave wasn`t back in the fold. The VH brothers tried to tell the world how evil Dave was again, making him look like the bad guy. It didn`t work this go round, too many seen past the bullshit this time to make Dave the bad guy.

  • LOVe seeing Chris Rock loving seeing the 4 of them on stage.

Rock is actually a HUGE VH fan. Like mega fan.

  • Was gonna type the same as you. If only this would work out.

  • @evh5150316 Really? What does he say about them?

  • This was The moment for a reunion tour. Listen and watch the crowd when Dave comes to stage.

  • Still so embarrasing to watch. Eddie's going like, "get f****n on with it!"
