Tobii has really distinguishable work in the eye tracking systems, i wish to participate in their efforts, here is my work if anybody is interested: watch?v=RIt2xqZP5As
Can somebody please tell me what the price of glasses, recording assistant, IR markers and Tobii Studio software is. I found the description of these products on the internet but the price is not indicated. Thank you in advance!
This would make great first person movies or be the camera man in the third person. It could have a zoom feature or a zoomed fish eye effect. In an the new eye max theater you would really be in the eye. This would revolutionize journalism and education. Instead of meeting in person in a class you could have a proxy and see the same thing the proxy sees. This would be great for the handicapped. Now politicians will have to have nothing to hide. So many applications, keep eye track of criminals..
@shopperinsight While IR markers may be an issue, I'd be more concerned about my user/participants. Getting the proper/ideal users/customers--people who'd actually shop in that environment--is critical. No matter how great your gear is, if you don't have representative users, there's bound to be problems.
great software etc,but it seems that preprogramming of the mind , how you were bought up,plays a role in what you look at .eg; the guys im sure were looking at the picture of the woman.so then the marketing departments will then produce more products etc based on this ,so more crap to sell.we are trained to think that someting is good through color ,symbols etc it becomes natural for us ,but is it really the best product or information, without full research
The use of IR Markers is not necessary, they are a unique complementary feature of Tobii Glasses for automatic data aggregation. The IR Markers are very unobtrusive and the smallest marker system of it´s kind (for example compared to visual code markers), first tests have already shown that IR Markers are typically not noticed at all by shoppers. The Tobii Glasses work by themselves to provide a gaze replay overlay on a scene-cam video, for a more qualitative or manual analysis.
In that case, this is a very interesting development. It'd be interesting to understand more about the functionality and complementary software. Can you supply some contact information please?

Interesting, but given the need to position IR markers on a shelf how realistic is this technology for use in REAL retail environments?
