  • Hi Kr103

The Four Aristocrats were my Uncle Lou Monte's Vaudville act. Hearing this was a joy. He and his friends experimented with the steel guitar and were the first to use it in an act. Do you have anything else by the Four Aristocrats with Louis Monte? I have a great picture of the four of them - - - steel guitar and all!

  • "Have I got an act for you mister! Four gents come out in full dress tails. The play guitars - all kinds. Spanish, steels, ukes, you name it. Then they sing harmony...and brother, what harmony. Then they...well, that's all they do. Sing and play guitars and sing some more."

"But what do you call 'em?"

  • Do you have any other music from the Aristocrats or with Eddie Lewis? My great grandfather was Eddie Lewis on the steel guitar. I am trying to find some of his music for my grandmother (his daughter, of course). Thank you for posting this song.

  • I have noticed that Banners often use Hollywood in their performer pseudonyms...

  • Hey now, I like this version! Thanks for posting.

  • Thank you for the history on the Gotham Rhythm Boys!

  • Very nice - now it isn't safe lol

  • I just found your channel; you are right down my alley! I have always liked this song, but had only heard Helen Kane perform it. I may use it on my blog as one of my Monday Mood Lifters.
