It took me about 30 minutes to find a pikachu, killed it, and then it took me 1:30 hours to find another. I really have horrible luck.

i saw one right as i was leaving the forest, and i was weakening it, and OF course I GET A CRITICAL hit on it and it dies. fml

@Dedalwedal same thing happened to me TWICE. i found a lvl 5 one and it was going nicely and then critical hit ruined everything. i find a lvl 3 one three pokemon after and i hit him once and then again and the bar just shoots all the way down and i almost died. -_-

i finally found a pickachu, and by the time i did my charmander was at lv 13. i accidentally killed it but luckily i found another right after.

yeah pretty much except I know you can't catch growlithe in green. green probably has some pokemon you can't get in red too

Yeah, You can also get a pikachu at the powerplant where you meet Zapdos.
