If you have cable or satellite, GTV is useless because it can't decode the channels. If you don't have cable or satellite, GTV is useless because there are so few channels that searching will likely yield no results and probably be slower than just flipping through.

This was a major consideration with AppleTV, which is why it's smaller, less obtrusive, simpler to use, and focused on functions that a settop network client can actually provide (which does not include working with live TV).

@ProfessorWhiskerz there is no such thing as an "HDMI to HDMI cable" if you are going to bash new software, at least get your wordage correct.also: 1) not everyone HAS a laptop with an HDMI connection. 2) Not everyone wants their computer hooked up to their TV. This is a solution for people who are not highly-technologically literate. It's like the Kinect.. they are bringing casual users into what a lot of us know. @HtownBravo Yes, you will need an antenna. I use one of those flat/square ones made by RCA and it pulls the over the air stuff pretty good without having the ugly rabbit ears. It just sits on my receiver.

I would love it to translate movies in real time even with subtitles. i love pc games, media center and everything in one box, like my pc in the living room. Just make it easy, and simple. They said why watch shows on the internet then Netflix happened and Youtube. A console is a pc but with less power. i want my PC in my living room but haven't gotten an easy, simple way to do that. TV are HD and have higher resolution then ever before matching my PC monitor.
