The more I watch this video, the angrier I become! When someone is in pain, and they take a hydrocodone for pain, they don't become an "addict"! Addicts are people who ABUSE opiates! People who need them for pain may "DEPEND" on them just as a person with diabetes depends on Insulin! This is the problem with the Internet. People who don't know what they are talking about out there trying to educate!

I found bladder cleanseing bills help when i eat stuff that are bad, I can't find them around where i leave . I got them from an health food store named st. christopher's bladder pills. Wow milk hurt u ! What can't u eat with out hurting u? Least I can give my boyfriend pleassure in bed by other way then intercourse. I guess i'll be doing that for the rest of my life. I'm scared to go to another Dr. for he run all the tests like before . Cause they''ll not believe me when i say i have this .

maybe the drugs are makeing u pee that what i learn and if u watch your diet on what ic patients eat. I have to eat fresh veggs, just blueberries and pears. I can't eat bread, paste,ice cream,no sugar, nothing in boxed,canned, drink water and milk only. I can't masterbate, intercorse, no oions, spices, no preservaties or colors or flavors. I only got one drug and it didn't help me w the frequincey to go pee. When did u get your ic? Also my bowls hlaf way blocked from the ic .

@bonjovigirl2011 Well I have noticed Detrol causes retention. Milk seems to hurt me for some reason that I don't understand. I always awake pain free 100% of the time, but then within minutes or an hour or two it hurts again.

I was pain free for 35 years and only got the pain when somebody harrased me at the library.

I first noticed the symptoms of IC when I was 14. Had it diagnosed when I was 33 and I am 49 now.

@georgegrasser When i was diagnosed with this disease the doctor told me it would go away in 5 or 8 years. You mean my doctor told me wrong ad i'm going to be like this for rest of my life? I haven't seen a doctor sense the year of diagnose cause they wanted me to pay for the after the insurace paid 30% and it left me thousand and something to pay off all in one lump. I dismissed after that and so i don't have any pills to take for the pain . I Ddn't know their was pills to help heal it too.

Update: I have discontinued Elmiron, Meloxicam and Doxazosin as they did not seem to help at all.

I have stopped Amtryptline, Hydrozyzine and Darcalma and will try to do without those too if I can.

Hey IC Friends: I seem to alway's be able to kill a flare with Amitryptline, Hydroxyzine and Lyrica. If pain is unbearable I also take the Tylenol/COD.

I'm just thinking if there is a means to get you to a point where you're on little to no meds it'll probably require a really coordinated means of weening yourself off them, since most medications have withdrawal symptoms. It could be like being caught in the waves by shore and it's just a matter of getting either on shore or farther out to sea for relief.

@lvecsey I would of course like to be on no scripts. I tribute my shaking and the bit of stuttering that I have to them. I have asked my doctor if there were any "drugs" that I'm taking to get off of.

He "corrected" me by saying they were "medications".
