well heres a couple options

download the firmware 3.0.1 watever the new one rite

open up ur itunes 8.2.1

and go to the restore button

but hold the shift button and a window

will pop up..look for the firmware u downloaded and then restore it that way

or the faster way is to do it how this guy is doin it,cuz you jailbreak and update ur ipod so yea choose

Dude , i cant get into DFU mode no matter how . tried over and over again.. my apple logo seems to load up even before 10 seconds is over .. if is lesser than 10 seconds nothing happen the phone seems off.

dont let it fool you its soppose to look off

to put into dfu mode

turn ur iphone off while pluged into the cpu

hold the power for 5 seconds

then hold the home while pressinf the power for 10 seconds then let go of the power and keep your finger on the home for 15 seconds

Dude, ran in PROBLEMS. I am having iphone 2g and everything went fine and I now have my phone updated with 3.0 and also jailbroken and unlocked. But iTunes refuses to recognise my device and keeps complaining, "Iphone detected, but could not be identified properly. please disconnect and reconnect the iphone and try again". WHAT DO I Do?

I had this same exact freaking problem. I was using redsn0w 0.7.2 though... I haven't tried 0.7.1

there is sumthing wrong with you computer the ipsw is incomplete this usally happens from the computer or internet provider try from another cpu

dude i just ran into a problem, when i open u[p itunes and hook my iphone up to it, it says that i need a SIM that supports the iPhone. Is there anyway i can get out of that screen or do i need an AT&T SIM? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!
