Ok, the video is a bit all over the places but I have just put a slipt focusing screen on my e410 and hey, now I can finally properly focus with my range of Zuiko OM lenses... no more near miss! That's great, thanks for the upload.
This man has taken the time to show you how to change the focus screen and you complain about the noise of his camcorder. Turn your sound off you don't need it.
Thanks for the demo but this was like watching a monkey try to reassemble a nuclear weapon. You have fingerprints all over the focusing screen and probably a scratched sensor now. And your mounts arent going to last long if you keep grinding the lenses onto the body. Its a precision instrument! Argh. sorry really appreciate the video but seeing an (at one time) $1000 camera treated like that is like seeing the monalisa being handled by kids with fingerpaint.
oh my, why are you touching the focusing screen? and please dont use a metal screw driver!!! this video should be "The wrong way in installing foucusing screens"
Yes, only MF. The e500's small screen is awful for manual focus, too small. If you have good eyes, you can live with it, but you might not have too many keepers! I'm not 100% clear on whether apertures double along with the focal length. However, it certainly enables a faster shutter speed when aperture is f1.4 indoors. Bokeh is great. There Nno warning using non 4/3 lenses, but it not harm camera in any way. gadgetmiser dot com for more info.
I assume you can only use MF, is it comftable enough with E-500 small and quite dim viewfinder? And if I attach that lens to E-500 body will I get 100mm f/1.4 or 100mm f/2.8? Do you get any warning massages from the camera while using non-4/3 lenses?

On 4./3rds, do apertures double along with focal length? [to get the common standard of 35mm equivalency]
Yes and no. Yes, the DOF (depth of field) doubles for a given f no but you retain the light gathering of the original f no.
i.e f4 on 4/3rds has the light gathering of f4 like any normal F4 lens but had the DOF of F8 (on a 35mm equiv camera)

Looks like one of the old OM lenses attached by the MF-1 adapter ring. I wonder how it works.
