I don't know, though I like what you did with the sound, I think the original also had a great soundtrack going with the title sequence. It's like wanting to re-do the video of A-HA "Take on Me", it's so original and nicely done, that it would be very hard to top. Overall, I like this soundtrack as well though.
@luigicamp69 I don't think I wanted to replace the original (which is genius anyway). The purpose was mainly to have a nice homework to present! And I wanted to give the whole sequence a view from another angle, maybe...Thanks for your comments :)
@alexsimescu Over all I liked what you did. When I saw yours, somehow my mind went straight to this video I came across a couple of years ago. It's so nicely done. It's a composition of the movies "The corpse bride" with "Nightmare before Christmas" all in sync with the song Dead man's Party by Oingo Boingo. Check it out /watch?v=_UbGtjnluyY
I would appreciate it if you renamed your video to something that distinguished this as your song. Before I realized this was your song and that this song was awesome I was kinda pissed, like I'd been rickrolled. You should put your song name first and then "to the series of unfortunate events credits"
And for those looking, AFTER YOU CHECK THIS SONG OUT, the real song is Drive Away by John Murphy.
@MessengerOfDreams Thanks a lot for your feedback, I get what you say...But the song doesn't have a name or life of its own, as it was composed especially for this animation. So what would you suggest then, lol? Something like "A series etc end credits, alternative music"?
@alexsimescu This is your original composition, right? In that case, you should name it! And do stuff with it! You name this the name of the composition you choose, and then in the title or description mention that it's to these credits. Voila!
O capitán muerte de edad, zarpó está llena de este país nos cansa o muerte a la vela si el cielo y el mar son de color negro como la tinta, Nuestros corazones están llenos sabes de los rayos
Oh yeah, I did this! Thank you for all your comments, folks! I'll be posting an improved version of this video soon. PS: the inspiration spark for this one was an elastic box thingy I made...And this geniuos movie, of course, lol.
@alexsimescu Well you totaly got me with this one as I am a big fan of Tom Waits (and your impression but still keeping your own style is very good offcourse!) AND this is the best and prettiest animation I have ever seen! Want to be able to make these myself some day... So yea, perfect combination for me!
oh...
so you think you can improve on Thomas Newman?

@bbear8 Nope, I love the original. But the images inspired me to do a little something too.

It would have been more courteous to put "new music" or "remake" in the video's title; I was expecting the original.

You got the vibe of the movie right. Good job. I like the slightly creepy cabaret feel to this.

@tmutazz indeed. lol, i like the idea of an eerie cabaret. This movie has a very strong vibe, burtonesque in a way, but it stands well on its own.
