I hope you don't mind me saying this, but no sphere grid but using Aeons kinda beats the point... No sphere grid is meant for people to play the game hardcore. Using Aeons for everything totally misses the point- it's basically the same like using a sphere grid in the end...

@DANILKA97 i don't remember well but you have to capture 10 of each monster on each area and then go to the arena and will have a nem item to buy (dont remember the name and don't have the game with me but you'l see!) and then you can erase and restart your grid with whatever sphere you want,hp,mp,strenght etc...think it's like that someone help if i forgot anything lol

You use the "Attribute" and "Ability" tabs. After you fight Belegime's (Or whatever her name is) aeons, you get "Ability" then, in the calm lands, you get "Attribute".

after a few hours of game using this amount of gil did it's effect.

so my Yojimbo out of 10 he does 7 Zanmatoes. you neeed to raise his trust in you. and never let him die, because his trust will decrease..

Yes and it must be 5 times in a row, if you save and reload after doing some fights you will have to start again (as opposed to ixion where you can save after the first fight and never have to do it again) or if you leave the sunkern cave you will have to start over also.

To all who is asking how in the 9 Hells and 7 Heavens that his Shiva is so powerful, the fact that his Shiva have all the spells should be answer enough.

Aeons' strength are based on 2 factors, the summoner's strength (which raises their stats as the summoner's stats increase), and the extra pump that you give them by spending items on them.

So, since all the characters did not use the sphere gird, where do all the Power Spheres and etc go?

Answer: into the Aeons.

Zanmato does less damage to a shielded aeon. This only applies to Zanmato (and also Th'uban's Convergence) though, other 99999 attacks such as Delta Attack(Dark Magus Sisters), Armageddon(Nemesis) and Judgement Day(Penance) will still do 99999 anyway.

well my auron acts first but even if i pick yuna and summon a bestia he uses it in the next turn and the bestia dies.

The Sphere Grid does make the aeons stronger, but there are other ways. You can use items to make them stronger as well. Then the more you fight, the stronger they get.

You just proved my point. There is more than one way to make your aeons stronger. The Sphere Grid is one way, but there is the Aeon's Soul, where you can use items to do power them up.

Also, the more you fight, the stronger they get as well.

Then there's the factor of story. The farther you are in the story, the stronger they get as well.

It's fun messing with the game's mechanics.

Are you sure about that? I mean, did you get the Aeon's Soul from Belgemine? Once you have that, you can access it from the Aeon Submenu and power them up.

The French version should have the same mechanics as the American version did.

I've seen others play a NSG game with the french version and had very powerful aeon's without the use of a sphere grid.

It's still pretty easy to go through it. As long as you have Rikku with Evade and Counter+First Strike. The Calm Lands are going to be your best friend though. You can steal a lot of powerful items: Poison Fang, Fire Gem, Ice Gem, Dream Powder(you need this more than the others).

yeah, you have to pay him a lot (i think around 500,000 gil) but it also depends on how much money you have, so if you have 1,000,000 gil and pay 500,000 gil he won't use it, so it's both related to how much you pay him and how much you have.

i thought, i have to use him a lot to know him better so that i could build up strong relationship with him. of course, i need to win the battle if i am going to use Yojimbo so that he will use zamato in the furture` battle. i know i could demange the relationship if he was killed or dismissed. so yup not only money but how many battles that you fought with him also improve the chance of him using zamato. but i am not sure 100%. sorry if i am wrong.

I think if you keep paying him 1 to summon him and then keep killing really low level monsters with him eventually he'll use Zanmato every time.
