I was at a primary school concert for my kids. Song after song... and then, at the end, the chords of Eage Rock started up... I felt everyone stirring, and starting to move... I wanted to stand up, but I knew I would be on my own.. that's Oz..
@edmundus1581 ....man...you shouldve got up,,,,I doubt you wouldve been on your own for long!!!! If I was there I wouldve been dancing right alongside ya!!! [-O-]
whatever happened to Jerry Noone? Anyone know? I was a kid fresh out of school when I used to talk to him about taking up tenor sax, backstage at the Arts Factory in Goulbourn street Surry Hills Sydney. Anyone remember the Arts Factory? Or am I the only fossil alive to remember? A converted garage warehouse, Sydney's hippy hangout.
@Thebirdienumnum omg Matt Taylor and Chain! awesome memories!!! I used to work in a hamburger joint in VIc Park called sprongo's about 28 years ago (omg I was only 17 lol) and they used to call in late sometimes...thank for bringing back the memory! :)
@buddhagirl65 That makes you 45. What the hell are you doing using lol and omg? Did you actually get stupider with age or is this just old people shamelessly attempting to recapture their wasted youth? Learn some grammar you old bag!
@haaamey .....Oh Trollololol, thanks for the education young knob, it was people my age that started the terms. And my hypothesis would be that 'tis far better to have had a wasted youth than just be 'a waste' talking about one! (I suppose you make old ladies stand on the bus and go laugh at children in hospital burns units for extra kicks?) I'm embarrassed that I'm replying to your mind soiling rot, grow up.
Jeremy Kellock (aka erry Noone) is a multi-instrumentalist and composer who first came to prominence in Australia in the early '70s as a member of the legendary Company Caine, in which he played sax and keyboards. He played sax on the first Daddy Cool album and was then invited to join the touring lineup and stayed with the band for about a year.
Gary Young is not related to Angus and Malcolm -- although there are enough out there without him. George Young from the Easybeats also played on some ACDC tracks and produced them. Alex Young was another brother, who was in Grapefruit.
What a great sound. Much clearer than the usual version we see so often. Thanks for the posting. Hope the guy in Canada tells all his friends how great Oz Rock is. By the magic of youtube, maybe we'll be able to spread this country's musical brilliance better than the record companies ever could.
They reformed for a few gigs a couple of years ago...Ross Wilson still performs with his current band Ross Wilson and the Urban Legends....his voice is better than ever
fantastic! I love Daddy Cool and this particular clip I haven't yet seen. Gawd, those girls (roll eyes)......we WERE rather daggy back then!! hehe. thanks for posting, very very enjoyable.

The dancing reminds me of Matt Taylor from Aussie band Chain.
He used to play at the Shenton Park Hotel ( Shents ) in Perth Western Auusie and would dance with any one on the dance floor.
Great fun!

What a bummer that the name 'Daddy Cool' is taken already, such a great name for a band. And such a great band! So much fun to hear this.
