An SMG is good for taking out rakk. Better with open sights opposed to a scope (since a scope hinders peripheral vision). Shotgun is still the best, though. If you have an Eridian Thunder Storm, you can sometimes take down a whole flock of rakk with one shot.

Spider you shouldn't have two smgs equipped because if you run out of ammo in one smg you run out in the other. you should find a good machine gun, sniper rifle, or revolver. But if you want to it's ur choice.

Spider use the other SMG. It is much better. ong-range you'd be tapping the trigger anyway. Plus, with the dmg up on the Malevant smg you won't be using as much ammo. Also there is elemental dmg so thats an advantage. Just sell this one. And don't forget you have grenades.

@NGTGames sorry to say it but i played it on the hardest difficulty. lols on top of it iv watched all the vids u guys post and honestly go back to zombies. u guys suck at borderlands and if u want tips heres a few when ur playing as the tank only use shotguns or rocket launchers. i was watching spider use smgs like wtf lvl ur professions and stay with it cuz if u fk up ur professions u will regret it on the walk through #2. this is just my advice cuz iv played the game 8 times and all classes.

@foxxythret the enemies scale. so with 2 people there twice as strong, with 4 there 4 times as strong. however, the loot scales too. so you can get really good weapons with 4 people
