These sounds are so old school and cool. I once had mods playing in an Atari ST emulator running JAM (I think). Wasn't the TT also known as the Falcon or am I wrong?
I actually recovered these mods before selling my TT030. Great machine. Just what can I say, I had a Macintosh first and that spoiled me. Back in the day the ST was the great entry machine cheaper than a Mac. The Falcon came after the TT030. The TT030 ran at 33 mhz, and had improved graphics modes over the regular ST's before it. The Falcon had the same processor, ran at 16 mhz, but a lot of the processes were better, and 256 color over 16 color on the TT030.
@doctorclu And dont forget the Falcon sound subsystem. It was amazing. The fist computer for home use with 8 tracks hardisk recording on 50 KHz/16Bit and a DPS Chip and 16 tracks on 33 Khz/16 bit with realtime effects :)
@r8qt7 Ahh, in theory. But the pointless 16-bit bus (they so obviously did that for cost reasons, no matter what they said) crippled the 030. We've still got the better OS, and models with lots of expansion slots (have you seen 1200 towers?).
Not that I'd say no to a Falcon. 14MB for cubase, lovely.
@r8qt7 is okay we'll just use one of our expansions slots. I mean assuming both have an 060 fitted that means you're out of luck for expanding the falcon ;)
I just found it online a MOD player to play it!The begining is the best part then it really slows down..if its alright with you guys I will post the link of where its at if any of you other people like it..Im just glad doctorclu put it youtube to begin with..thanks.
I just checked out your profile man hahahah Im in Garland,TX right near you man! hahahah we are probably the only people in Texas right now listening to Mod Music hahah
In the silicon Prarie of Dallas? Don't be so sure. BTW, there is an Amiga user group meeting in Grand Prarie this coming Wednesday. (Amiga's were big mod playing machines so why I mention it.) :D
Well, I may not have that anymore. My hard drive on the TT crashed a bit ago. :( We will see what I had. Which one was the Depeche Mode one again? Might be on a master MOD archive site. :D
That 030TT may be an ugly machine but it's a real beast, shame the TT's were so rare. It was a must have for anyone in the music scene in any catagory. I was always an Amiga fan and still am but I have 2 1040STE's which is capable enough. :) Nice vid by the way, look after it as they are like gold dust these days!
Very cool. Modemulance was one of my favorite mods, which I often played on my 1988 Tandy 1000 TL/286 8Mhz with Scream Tracker 2 through the PC speaker (what a feat of programming that was on the ST2 author's part to get to work and actually sound a quarter decent...) and of course was always available for download on my BBS with its blazing fast 14.4K Zoom modem. :-)
You know what, I found a site where I got a Mod version of it myself. The file was called "Arcane". They said it was a popular tune from an old demo. You should check out some of the mods from games like Crusader: No Remorse/No Regret. Pretty cool stuff.
Not having a go but all these mods are originally done on the amiga and the samples are from sountrackers st:01 sample disk.

@doctorclu You wouldnt bother playing mods on the Falcon you would just play 320kbit MP3's.

It's not a stripped down form of MIDI samples, MOD/tracker music is like an ADVANCED MIDI with built in samples.

Arc.mod or Arcane.... yeh good luck finding that in a Google search, since "arc" and "mod" are so common. :/ Glad you liked it though.

Sure go ahead and post the link. You'll have to be tricky to post in this text box as it does not allow URL's

Ok this site has a ton of MOD files. You will need to have a mod player to hear it.
ok go to Google and type in the following arcane.mod music
The very first site shown is the correct site.
Then load it into the mod player of your choice and play it.There are many free mod players online.

Looks like the formating is messed up..Type in
"arcane.mod music" without the quotes into google...

I believe so.

Is it freeware? Public Domain? Where to get?
I would also love to here the complete "Depeche Mode"-Mod of yours in your protracker on YouTube!
