  • Did you put that strike on it in the end?

  • bla bla bla for minutes, just play that

  • Obviously there is a perfect guitar, the Jackson USA SL2H Soloist.

    :p

  • I use to have one of these it was one step down though, it had dot inlays, I want a white one of these so bad, mine was gunmetal green

  • What's the tune-lock called at the neck? i can't figure it out. I have an Ibanez guitar myself, S-series custom, but I've lost the ''lock''. Help?

  • @guitarlover95 Locking nut.

  • @guitarlover95 "top-locking nut"?

  • One for sale here, with Dimarzio pickups ebay .co.uk /itm/Ibanez-RGT42MDX-dimarzio- pickups-Good-condition-/200635 947216?pt=UK_Musical_Instrumen ts_Guitars_CV&hash=item2eb6d59 8d0#ht_500wt_1156

  • What's the difference between this and the RG370Dx?

  • How well IS a tremolo?Would this one be good for fluttering?I saw Wes Borland do one and I LOVED the sound of it,and I LOVE Limp Bizkit.Fred Durst is a durstbag.

  • Who the fuck is talking about Evanescence ? ohh the guy on the 3rd comment...

  • .....DUDE ITS ONE OF CANADAS WORST HANDYMEN HAHAHAH jk he looks like him tho

  • holy shit, you seem like a sound guy :)

  • from the 20 second mark to the 54 second mark there are so many underlying sex jokes that i just couldn't stop laughing =P

  • is it duncan seymore pickups?

  • I thought he broke the bridge at 9:30

  • Does EMG pickups fit on this guitar?

  • @Sam132161 No idea.

  • @Sam132161 EMGs are normal humbucker sized pickups. You just need a space to put the battery pack, because they are actice, so they requier space big enough to put a 9-volt battery in. My friend put EMG;s in an SG and managed to fit the battery pack in the control plate.

  • @Sam132161 yes, they do.

  • @Sam132161 They Do. Make sure to have them professionnally installed.

  • thanks for the review. i think im going to buy this.

  • ...haha...haha..haha yep i love to laugh too. but i don't over use it..

  • forgive me i meant thinnest. lol

  • The wizard 2 neck is the fastest neck ibanez produces (i believe)

  • i have one question, about the edge 3 tremolo. compared to a schaller floyd rose the ones made in germany, how highly does this guitar stay in tune? like bcuz im a guitar-stay-in-tune freak and i want to know if this kind of tremolo stays in tune better than the schaller floyd rose or is it like the schaller floyd rose or if its like a great tremolo. bcuz i like floyd rose guitars but i hate the licensed ones. plz answer these questions and thank you for your time. nice playing by the way. =]

  • @Mrfob23 Well I can't compare since I don't have a guitar with a Schaller Floyd Rose. But this one has stayed in tune for me just fine. Thanks for the nice words.

  • @Mrfob23 hey man i have experience with both trems and i am also hypochondriac about tuning. i abused the shit out of my Edge III and i dulled the knife edges when trying to adjust the action one day. it never stayed in tune perfect again even after i sharpened the edges up. then i lubed the knife posts and it worked great. so yeah it's good and stays in tune well. i like the Schaller more TBH cause i like the screw-in arm. but still the Edge III still works and is worth buying for sure.

  • @Mrfob23 The Schaller Floyd IS the best double locking tremolo in the world. In terms of quality, tuning stability, and action. The Edge III tells a vastly different story. It isn't a great Double locking trem (Compared to the Floyd Rose Original) and its quality and tuning stability pale in comparison... I would suggest swapping out the Edge II if you are a heavy trem user...

  • @Mrfob23 buy a kahler . . . I have been playing floating bridges since I got my first guitar and out of them all my floyd originals and my kahlers stay in tune like nobodies business.

  • @Mrfob23 edge 3 is an inferior bridge - drop in a gotoh floyd and you'll be laughing, its a direct replacement

  • You could change the fret markers with custom yellow bolts if you can find them out there, that'd be sweet! Haha

  • 700 bucks? shit, cheap :D

  • hey guys, im not kidding, i got my ibanez for just 250 euros, i got it at alfasoni.com, but the only problem is that the web's in english, but prices are amzing, also got mustang amp for 90 euros, so if id buy another guitar id buy it at the web i just said....NOT SPAM so please thumbs up this so ppl can see it!!!!!!!

  • how well would this guitar be for playing evanescence????

  • @anthonyring123 I have no idea. I've only heard a few of their songs.

  • @anthonyring123

It would play it fine. Great actually.

  • @anthonyring123 ibanez rg models are great for any kind of music, but mainly for heavier styles. so yes

  • @anthonyring123 this guitar is for more than just play evanescence, man :/

  • @160895andy i know, theres no guitar that is made for one band or one sound, i was just asking casue theyre my favorite band, and sence my channel is about 80% Evanescence covers i was just wondering cause i wanted a sound very similar to theres. but i setteld for the Ibanez RG2 EX FM1 instead

  • stop talking and fucking play it

  • I had a Jackson Dinky that had a floating trem, bought it because I wanted to do dive bombs all day. Sold it because it wouldn't stay in tune.

I own a LTD Dave Mustaine sig V, Epi Les Paul Custom, and my first guitar an RG 120. I still often go back to my rg 120 and it feels like home.

That being said, you're making me wanna buy another RG. Does this one's trem stay stable or does it go of tune easily? Also, damn, took awhile before we could hear you play (legit though).

  • @bruingrappler12 Actually yes, I haven't had any problems with keeping it in tune.

  • how was this Ibanez? and is there any other cheaper, good quality Ibanez guitar model that you can recommend,

if you said the price later in the video, i could watch the whole vid so therefore im asking

  • @77LeGaCy77 I think it's great. Anything cheaper and you won't have a neck-through guitar though. That was one of the main things I wanted. So if you don't mind having a non neck-through, you can probably find one for a pretty reasonable price

  • Maybe im wrong but when you got a neck tru the neck is made of the same wood as the body.

But thanks for this review you convinced me to buy it.

  • Your laugh cracks me up. XD

  • @theBCRichWarbeast That sounds good. I've never thought of getting one though because I'm pretty set with guitars now. I've heard good things about them.

  • You chuckle like a fag..

  • You're laugh is ridiculous.

  • @aL3ks06 I wish you knew how to use "Your" and "You're" correctly. Along with 20 other people. xD

  • im getting a RGA7 with the EMG 707 pickups :D

  • @SPYDDET nice thats what i have except rga not rga7........check out the rg4exfm1....its cheaper then the rga but dang it sounds and feels good

  • White's not a colour

  • @RiseAgainstPlayer white is, black isnt

  • @123marijn321 Neither or them are. They're both shades -.-

  • @RiseAgainstPlayer dont care lol!, btw, i just bought a gibson les paul studio worn brown today!, its AWESOME!

  • @123marijn321 either is mexican

  • hey man do you think i should change the infinity pickups i have in my ibanez S570 into dimarzio X2N for the bridge

  • what. i love the ibanez headstocks. especially when they are inverted like the Ibanez Xiphos

  • ey which di marzio model would u change the pickups to

  • hey man how is this guitar on clean is it a versitle guitar can u make a vid with this guitar on clean please man

  • @zucca3902 It's pretty nice on clean because you can use the pickups as single coils, so that sounds decent.

  • hey umm if you were to change the stock pickups which pickups would u change em to ??

  • @zucca3902 I have no idea. Haven't really thought about it too much.

  • @zucca3902 look at dimarzios, im buying this guitar and throwing a humbucker from hell in the neck and a super distortion in the bridge

  • ey man how ru i like to think of ur thought in the stock pickups of this guitar

  • @zucca3902 Sure, they are alright. I mean they are serviceable.

  • love his laugh

  • very expensive guitar for made in korea

i prefer the rg550 fujigen gakki

  • I'll try this Ibanez out, but I will say, every other Ibanez I played was poor. Nothing to my Strats, ESP's or Jackson's, or even my Les Paul.

  • @Blitzbok you couldnt have played a decemt ibanez then, the rg550 is legendary, and the rg prestige range is killer.plus the edge tremolo is way better than a floyd rose.

  • @crovian1985 The Prestige is a very good guitar, I have played the best Ibanez has to offer. It's down to personal preference, but the OFR is regarded as the best for a reason, though the Edge is also very good.

  • the problem with neck through guitars is that if the neck gets damaged or cracked, you can't replace it with a new one. The Ibanez E gen is a beautful model!!

  • its korean..

  • how much did that cost?

  • who cares about pickups? i know the INF's suck but you can always switch em. if i do a review i never talk about the pickup sound

  • Russel Peters with an ibanez lmfao

  • Hey dude I just bought a Ibanez RG 470AH and I already have two EMG's and I want to put them in and keep the single coil in the middle. You think this is possible?

  • @aageorgeaa No idea.

  • If anyones interested in buying this exact guitar let me know , i can sell for a prettty good price

  • is this EDGE III BRIDGE stable? i mean.... does it stay tuned after abusing the tremolo ?

  • @tornado600rr I've heard a lot of people complaining about that. However in my experience it's been great. So either everyone is wrong or I'm lucky!

  • hey man, i have a question, this is made in which country?

  • @wwwjunkcom87 Mexico I think.

  • dude you should try fender. its an awesome brand

  • @MrLoco00791234567890 he's got a Strat. it isn't his favorite but he does play it in some videos.

  • @MrLoco00791234567890 I have an American made Stratocaster.

  • @RedSGShredder im thinking of getting an american made stratocaster.

  • @MrLoco00791234567890

duh. Not the best for heavy metal. But it is the gold standard of general playing.

  • @GuitarLad43 stratocasters are cool for heavy metal you just need to change the look so it can look like the correct style for metal. its sound definitely fits in the genre and allot of others

  • I'm gonna get me a second hand Ibanez guitar this sunday. Hope it's worth it : D

  • you seem a very nice person

  • I guess you're WhiteRGShredder now

  • The inlays look like bolts already, haha.

  • I like Ibanez and want a white guitar with all those features... how expensive was it?

  • wood г rather a kh-202 esp or this ibanez?

  • i love Ibanez's. and yeah the Ibanez Edge-3 bridges, i think, are better than the other licensed Floyd Rose trems. the original Floyd Rose is better because it's made more durable, but i agree, the FR's are way too sensitive. if you breathe on them, they go sharp, so it's hard to palm mute without going sharp.

the one thing you sacrifice with any Ibanez bridge is although they handle muting better, they don't flutter as well. that's kinda saddening to me but otherwise all Ibanez trems are godly

  • I wil be gettin an rg3exfm1 ibanez guitars just feel comfortable towards me I've tried strata scheters ESP they just feel bulky

  • High end Jacksons are wonderful, RR1 ftw though I am a big jackson fan so haha. But yeah that's a great guitar.

  • I thought Ibanez pronounce like "Ibeynz"

  • U remind me of Steve carrel

  • A review that is an actual review and not just some one playing guitar for a few minutes. Thanks. :)

  • I totally love that guitar!

I would actually buy it in white too because it's always cool to have a white guitar

Just one question...if you put EMG's on it, how would the switch work? For example what would happen if you put the switch on a "single coil position", but with EMG's?

  • @AnriSandman Right on man I have no idea about the pickups though.

  • @RedSGShredder is the guitar good for metal

  • @AnriSandman it'll be a dead spot. basically like a killswitch. trust me, i've put EMG's in an Ibanez before. so it's like 1). bridge 2). dead-spot 3). both pickups 4). dead-spot 5). neck

i got an EMG 81 and 85 set for my RG370DX. later, i put an S pickup in the middle position. now all 5 positions are filled. position 1). bridge 2). bridge/middle 3). middle 4).middle/neck 5). neck.

but unless you put a middle pickup in, you might as well get a 3-way switch to replace the 5-way switch.

  • @AirgunAddict256 Ohh, thanks a lot man, seriously

Maybe I'll buy an Ibanez some day, and you really helped, thanks

  • @AnriSandman Most EMG's come with that rectangular bullshit casing and probably wouldn't fit. I have a 2008 42DX myself. Try DiMarzio's.

  • @StillRottenToTheGore they do fit. i put EMG's in my RG370DX which has the same pickup housing, or whatever you call those boxes the pickups are in, and they fit perfectly.

it sounds really good too, with DR strings and a tube amp.

  • @AnriSandman i have EMG's in my Ibanez. it's recommended you get a 3 way switch for EMG's, because unless you buy the EMG 81TW or the 89, you cannot coil tap the pickups.

the 81TW and 89 don't coil-tap from the pickup switch, either. you pull out the volume pots on em.

if you keep the 5 way switch, you're gonna have dead-spots where the coils would normally coil-tap.

not a big deal, though. just get the EMG's you want, and a 3-way switch. so no, EMGs don't coil tap unless you buy certain ones

  • @AirgunAddict256 Thanks a lot man!

If this guitar was still available, it would be a really good option for me

  • hate Mahogany guitars. Basswoods better in my opinion. Nice guitar though. getting a low-end Ibanez soon. Ibanez RG 250dx

  • @guitarnerd67 350dx*

  • I like ur guitar and all but i like the feel of the unfinished necks. I have an rg570 and a rg2570. My 2570 came with dimarzios.

  • what do you think of the Ibanez Prestige S5470?

  • @wisesatyr72 Never tried it.

  • whoa! herman li style soloing!! :D awesome review, my birthday's in august and i'm thinking about asking for a guitar (or money towards it, anyway) and i've been looking at the ibanez lines and they look really good for the sort of stuff i'm learning to play (metal techniques at the moment). also, can you post a video for how to do pinch harmonics please :) i just found out about them two hours ago and i'm sort of struggling :) thanks for posting!

  • @modernwarfaregod...

I agree that ESP kh-2 ouija is a great guitar, and it feels insanely good, but that guitar cost $7200 more!

  • The Neck shud be Mahongany cuz body also... PS I MAY BE WRONG

  • Hey just wanted to say I like ibanez but I think overall ESP puts out much higher quality guitars, for example I have an ESP KH-Ouija and I have never played a better feeling guitar, as far as the bridge goes it is a Floyd Rose Original and you can divebomb to hell and back and it won't come out of tune at the same time it Is very firm, great videos though man keep going!!!

  • i like your laugh you do. good review. :)

  • If you had a cheap ESP then ofcourse it will come out of tune! D: Its the same for all cheap brands. (See squire, 100$ epiphones etc...) Though i still respect your opinion. It's cool to have an opinion. :)

  • im thinking about getting the ibanez rg350ex soon would you recommend it over a jackson warrior ?

  • @FroZenCyanide I have no idea. I haven't tried either guitar. Or if I have it was a long time ago and I don't remember.

  • @RedSGShredder oh well anyways thanks .. i got a new guitar today i used a hagstrom F300 and got 295 bucks for it and but the hagstrom XL-2 it was like 600 but i only paid 226 and my guitar for it . But thanks for replying man. Im subbing Btw :P

  • ive been playing guitar for about 2 years now and i need a new guitar. i play rock and metal and stuff, would you recomend this guitar for me?

  • @Jaythompson29 For sure!

  • @Jaythompson29 if you play heavy metal id go with jackson..i have a jackson and its beast

  • dude if you dont play it anymore or something DONT sell it, they are discontinued.

  • planing to get this guitar

  • someone's happy.. =)

  • is it a heavy guitar

  • @cdeflemon Not really.

  • so are the infs 1 and 2 better than the infs 3 and $ on the rg350 models?

  • @129jasaxos I have no idea because I've never tried the other pickups.

  • @RedSGShredder just wondering because the rg5 and rg350 have the inf 3 and 4 and are 400 bucks....with almost same features mind the pickups and the bolt on neck. ive played them on store but idk

  • I've heard that the edge III dosen't hold the tuning? Have you noticed any of that?

  • @AlbinMyren I haven't had any problem with that. I've had this guitar for over a year now.

  • no offence, but your going to skrew up the ack if you wear a sweater with a zippper....little tip

  • @Canabolism What!? That is the most pathetic thing I have ever heard? xDD

  • I have the Ibanez RGT42DX. I get fret buzz low e 1st 2nd & 3rd fret. I have it low in action. I would like to know what the distance is on your Ibanez RGT42DX low e 14th fret? I love the guitar and I just need help with the buzz. If you can give me any measurement so I can get the action like yours if you do not get the buzz. Thanks

  • @navahojn55 Sure man, I haven't measured it but I usually just keep raising the action until the buzz is completely gone.

  • I have the Ibanez RGT42DX. I get fret buzz low e 1st 2nd & 3rd fret. I have it low in action. I would like to know what the distance is on your Ibanez RGT42DX low e 14th fret? • Man i want you'r guitar:D:D:D Friggin sweet

  • meh just replace them with active EMG's

  • btw like the charger shirt :D

  • ... Not sure if they still do, but they used to put out that series with upgraded Dimarzios and whatnot, but at the same time you'll be paying more not just for the pickup but also the pro install from Ibanez. Hope this helps any of you with ? bout the pickups. both mine came with the Inf1 and 2 as well. quick swap is all you need.

    S470dxqm

    RGT42MDX

  • Ibanez's reasoning behind the mediocre pickups is to keep the price down. They know most ppl have their own pickup preferences and will more than likely put their own pickups in, so why charge more for a guitar with good pickups that may not be to some ppls liking. If you are the kind of person who wants to buy a guitar and not worry bout changing the pickups, check out some of the Prestige line of ibanez....

  • hi friend..i also have this guitar..what I need now is the sweet tone for the neck sound..do u have any suggestion which pickups should i change to get this kind of tone??is it ok if I choose the seymour duncan APH1 alnico II

  • Comment removed

  • why dont you like esp's?

  • @butterknucklez I tried a few and I just did not really like the way they felt. I wasn't able to find one in a decent price range that was neck through. Also, I didn't like their style of Floyd Rose bridges. The bridge was so big that my hand kept bumping it when I played it, but that's not really a knock on ESP.

  • @RedSGShredder

    what was your price range?

  • @RedSGShredder if you try the more expensive esps like the ec401 m401 ex401 ect those guitars are worth more than what you pay certain license trems they have sucks

  • can anyone answer my question.. :))

i have an electric guitar w/c look like an ibanez.. and, whenever i change its string, it always broke.. soo.. how can i change strings properly and how can i tighen it? thanks for answering ^^,

  • @artienda12 Sure, well I am assuming you have a Floyd Rose style bridge. There are some good video tutorials on how to change strings so be sure to look around for those.

  • what would be a good ibanez guitar within 300 400 dollars....i would like to get one but my parents are tight on money what would u recomend

  • @129jasaxos Sure man, well if that's your range you don't have to limit yourself to Ibanez. They do have a lot of models that are similar to this one though but you will probably have to get a bolt on neck version.

  • I have this guitar, it does have a cracl on the neck, but has been fixed, n now stonger, than before, i will be willing to sell

  • R.I.P The ESP F401 :(

  • This guy is just like me in guitar choice. I want this guitar so bad.

  • is not even that good actually

  • i so badly want an ibanez most of the bands i listen to have 24 fret guitars and they sound amazing

  • i love these model of guitars. jacksons are sick as well i love emgs and floyd rose bridges.

  • I didnt think that model came with the whammy. Mine is fixed.

  • i'm getting mine fixed tomorrow. i cant wait.

  • Someone looks happy lol

I have an Ibanez too. it's good.

  • wee bought one today!!!

  • WHOOOO Chargers RULE! >:D

    ..also, nice guitar :)

  • @joseinn

    It is a review..

  • Jesus christ I didn't know people looked into the guitar they're buying in this much detail. I just play it, if I like the sound, buy it. Whoa.

  • @cheeseliker92 no dude. You have to be sure it's what you like. unless you have a rich grandma'.

  • hehehehehhe :D

  • take out the pickups and copper shield the pickup cavities and the control cavity. it will really help with the noise, if you didn't already know that.
