The reason is because some cell phones don't stream your website but they can stream YouTube because its an app on their phone. A lot of people watch YouTube on the go....hope that cleared the understanding issue.

Look at it this way: consider youtube is a big mall with great number of foot traffic, whereas your website is a nice store located at an upscale neighborhood only accessible to a certain elites of the society. If you're an up and coming artist, your best bet is to stay at the mall and gain a strong fan base that will propel you to where you want to go as an artist.

I think you should only post certain video to your website and then tell people in order to see my latest video you have to come to my site. People are gonna want to see the videos because your really good. So, they will have to go to your website.
What about if you first upload them in your website and then like after two weeks or whatever, you upload them in full at youtube so some fans can favourite it. In that instance, if fans want to see it earlier then they would have to go to the website

I understand that you wanna make a career and get paid I really do but I reckon honestly your making it harder on yourself. Your manager should be look at how the monetized your Youtube traffic. You manager should be trying to get T-Shirt companies, Clothing stores, etc to advertise or do product placement in your videos. Also, just for the record, the bigger your following on Youtube the more opportunities you will have in the future. Everybody think they can build Thisis50 but 50 was ahead of the game.

people dont really want to go on to a website, become a member of it, and then see poor quality of a video that turns out better on youtube. we ll love you, but just because 'you have ur own website' doesnt mean anywhere near all of your fans are gonna follow you on your website. people like looking you up on youtube, they dont feel like going through the trouble of going to your website. you're not helping yourself by telling us that we're wrong. and making us feel guilty isnt gonna work either

there are two problems with this.... one, the videos on your website come out unclear, and the sound quality isnt that great, where as on youtube we can actually see whats happening and hear you project your voice. i agree that your just trying to help yourself out your own website, but by making videos telling us that we should just deal with what your doing isnt gonna make any of us want to visit your website...people like going on youtube and checking to see if u have a new video out, but

Excuse me, first I just want to say i'm not trying to start an argument or anything of the sort. I understand that you don't have a computer, and the fact that you take the time to watch Zewdy's videos on your phone seems like you're a real fan and i admire that.

Look at it this way: consider youtube is a big mall with great number of foot traffic, whereas your website is a nice store located at an upscale neighborhood only accessible to a certain elites of the society. If you're an up and coming artist, your best bet is to stay at the mall and gain a strong fan base that will propel you to where you want to go as an artist.

You may not understand internet marketing or consumer psychology, but to force your users to your website by not offering your materials on both sites is too controlling. People make this mistake all the time. If Youtube made you then why leave Youtube when Youtube generates tons of traffic for you. It's nothing wrong with starting your own site but you should offer additional content or you can post your cover's on your website a week before Youtube. You can try to become a Youtube partner. Ryan Leslie made this mistake and it cost him. Musicians want people to hear them. You go where the audience is and it's on Youtube.

Your manager should be look at how the monetized your Youtube traffic. You manager should be trying to get T-Shirt companies, Clothing stores, etc to advertise or do product placement in your videos. Also, just for the record, the bigger your following on Youtube the more opportunities you will have in the future. Everybody think they can build Thisis50 but 50 was ahead of the game.
