I have a 6 yr old blue Merle with a tail. Benjamin "Benny" is his name. He's gorgeous and smart and so active that he just tore his other acl and will need yet another knee operation.

how to you keep your dog healthy? i read about aussies and they are prone to ALOT of sicknesses. how much did u pay for him?

Myrl passed away a few months ago (he had cancer). When he was with us, we fed him the best quality food we could afford and took him to the vet regularly to make sure he was well. He was never sick a day in his life, but developed cancer earlier this year.

What do you mean by how much did we pay? Do you mean, how much did we pay to purchase him?

So sorry you lost Myrl. I have a black tri Aussie that is now 17 years old, Mr. Ziggy, he is deaf now and has cataracts so he doesn't see well but is still happy, funny, smart, manages to get around just fine and has never been sick in his life otherwise. He has been the most faithful companion I have ever had. These are very loyal intelligent funny sweet and wonderful dogs. I hope you will get another one, so sorry for the loss of Myrl. Thanks for sharing this video.

Your aussie Myrl is sooo cute he looks almost exacty like my australian shepherd mix Buddy. He's almost 2yrs old now and very hyper. He can b quite a handful 2 but it's impossible not 2 love him. He brings so much joy and happieness into my life. Aussies are such smart dogs i think that they're 1 of the best breeds out there.

Love this breed. My 1 yr. old mini blue merle is so much fun. She loves to run and play tug of war. On the smaller side, only 21 lbs. very smart and very people friendly, Bonnie loves kids too.

Aussies will keep you busy all the time.

he reminds me of my dog Buddee. But he's a Siberian Husky/Border Collie Mix. Just as fun and energetic though.

Your dog is so pretty. My female blue merle is named Nellie. She will be 8 in august. Her mate is Sparky, a 4 year old Rat Terrier. They are so good together and make me laugh the way they mock fight with each other. Their favorite game is playing tag. One of these days I'll post a vid of them on Youtube.

What a beautiful Aussie. I have an Aussie named Charlie who is similar in color and size. He is about a year old but his hair is not quite that full, I wonder if it will ever be? They are in my opinion the best dogs and so smart and loyal. Mine acts so similiar haha, he runs just like and it cracks me up. And as for the comment below, they are beautiful, tail or no tail. It's the breed standard for their tails to be docked.

I don't think Myrl had his full coat until he was 2 years. Now that he's 5 he has hair to spare.

Got an Aussie too. She's roughly 45lbs, 1½ years old. We call her running attacks "psycho miles." Our dog acts just like the dog in your video, gotta love it! Extremely smart dogs as well.

i have two miniature aussies (about knee high and weigh 23 lbs). one is red tri and the other is black tri. there is ot a day goes by that they don't put a smile on my face. awesome dogs, but they do require a good workout or they will be bouncing off the walls.

Please be careful. I don't recommend buying a puppy at a flea market. You could end up with a puppy with poor genetics and health problems. :[ You need to find a responsible breeder who health tests prior to breeding.

Try Googling "Australian shepherd health" and learn what health problems are common in the breed. Some genetic health problems can be prevented. Good breeders strive to produce healthy puppies that will live a long, happy life.

Also try Googling how to find a responsible breeder and how to choose a healthy puppy.
