I've had both and I gotta say, the galaxy's 4gs better. The attic display is very washed out compared to the super amoled and it has blur.

@d0ttd0tcurve you can't judge the display over a video. you'd have to see it for yourself. the screen is actually quite nice, I have an atrix. Almost as good as iphones retina display.

@d0ttd0tcurve I see, well that's you're opinion. IMO the super amoled is good overall, but the pixels are a bit screwed up. The Atrix does not look "very washed out" you just have to control your brightness according to the lighting.

@fallen4life080 Of course you can change it. Just like you can change it on ANY android phone. There are many different launchers such as ADW, launcher pro and lots more out there. People who use stock launchers are nuts in my opinion...

@makmegs thank you, you are correct, i bought it as soon as it came out here in Spain, Motoblur was okay, i didnt really have much of a problem with it, but i did find that Launcher pro plus was wayyyyyy better. so thank you :) however i dont like the slow response on the buttons in the Dialer. but whatever, better than my old iphone.

Me too prefer the color of the super AMOLED. But super AMOLED is serious burn in problems. After continuous usage for several months the notification bar ia burnt to the screen. qHD is high resolution but costing resources and here comes the lag. iPhone 4 on the other hand has done great job in optimization with a retina dislay

@AndrewKim83 It happened to be already and I did a warranty exchange. Look at all the SUPER AMOLED demo devices in the AT&T stores, they are all burn-in. The lifetime of the Blue color is a lot less than the red and green. Super AMOLED is beautiful but the life span is weak compare to LCDs.

@videoreborn Samsung uses Pentile Matrix to avoid the blue diode lifespan issue, and I just realized when would a phone need to be on so long to create burn in? I thought an hour long movie, but the notification bar wouldn't be visible.

@jacremes Dude. THIS IS AN AMOLED! Jeez. Atrix has Amoled but the pixels are made to 540xby.... What ever it was. 960. i think. Point is its an high rez amoled. They renamed it to qhd because it IS quarter HD.

@Ninja26806 no its not AMOLED, its a type of LCD screen, that they like to call qHD. LCD and amoled are two way different things. the main difference you can see is on amoled screens the blacks are much blacker than LCD. this is because the pixel completely turns off when it's directed to show black, which makes it look much better. other organic materials are electrified to produce the colors that look so beautiful. while (liquid crystal displays) LCD just project a grayish hue for black.

@Ninja26806 I doubt it's an AMOLED screen, the only manufacturers I know that have used OLED technology are HTC, Samsung, and maybe Nokia. HTC has already switched to SLCD due to the larger volume of it. Motorola most likely still uses a TFT-LCD

I would actually choose the galaxt s 4g because it virruallu has no lag and its one of the fastest phones out there up-to-date. Luke aaron said the motorila atrix has lag sometimes and personally im a person who doesnt like lag. I like to get in ny phone do what i need to do without anything slowing me down. Even though i am receiving a motorola cliq 2 i still prefer stock android or touchwiz and android.

I think I will just wait for the Samsung Galaxy S 2 and Sony Experia Arc. But I think the best phone/value right now is the HTC Inspire. I know the battery sucks on it, but just download app killer and turn off wifi and anything else u don't use. I hear doing just this much will make a significant difference with the battery life.

@agentjfk actually installing any task killer and setting it off to do it's own thing isn't the way to save battery.

The best way is simply to root, install setcpu, until someone comes out with a smartass kernel for it, install a good bloat-free rom and profit.

I have an incredible (one of the worst htc devices in terms of battery life) and my battery lasts a good 40+ hours of moderate use simply using a custom kernel on a cleaned up sense rom.
