  • Jim, you are an EXEMPLARY human being! I LOVE YOU! this video was really touching, good and bad, and now everyone can see what an absolute legend you are! Im sure Cody is the proudest kid in the world! I know I would be! Get well soon! xxx

  • You'll be fine...Keep your chin up

  • Thank you.

  • WOW. i hope you are feeling better thanks for sharing your story. and i as an Oregonian love to hear that a texan is trying to make a car that doesn't rely on oil. i love hearing that. great great great video. Thanks for sharing your story

  • The idea here is to still use oil as needed, but shift to electricity as much as possible. One day I hope to make enough power on the roof of my hope to power my home and any of my daily commuting I may need to do. I don't want to be a slave to anybody's fuel pump any more. People are just not seeing that burning less oil is a Pro American, National Security issue just as much as it is a pollution issue.

  • Thanks man, I glad you were able to open up like that. Kudos!

  • Thank you! I hope you do well on your hike. I know it will be AMAZING.

  • Really great video though. SOmetimes the things we dislike the most are the things we will overcome to conquer what we want to.

    CHeers,

    Mari

    Much luck

    ~Daniel

  • Thanks!

  • Wow, what a story. I really appreciate your honesty in this video. You're a good guy.

  • Thank you so much Natasha!

  • I know this was hard to do. Good job.

  • Yes it was. Thank you.

  • i love random acts of kindness! its so much easier than said...your a great person for actually doing it. I didnt understand the printer and hybrid car? are you helping design them...? im not sure what you were implying by that. lol or maybe i missed something. good video

  • Thank you.

The RepRap "Printer" prints plastic items one layer at a time. Right now you could print a cup, doorstop, or even the parts to build another machine. PC boards have even been made this way using a copper paste that is printed with the same machine at the same time a plastic substrate. The idea is to one day be able to print off anything like a cell phone, computer, or anything you would normally get from Wally-Mart. Better for the planet. As far as Plug-in Hybrids, I build them.

  • Hi Jim - fantastic video. You are so thoughtful and kind. I'm so sorry about your past experiences. You are wonderful x

  • Thank you Em. Great job on your video!

  • Great Job :-)

  • Thanks. Glad to see you back in! Yea! ;-)

  • You did great Jim. I really like thinking that random good deeds are because of people like you. You really are a great man. :)

    xo

  • Heather, you are not so bad yourself. Thank you!

  • GREAT VIDEO!!

    Thanks for this...

  • As always, thank you for supporting me.

  • Glad you are feeling better, Jim. I am so sorry to hear about all of the losses you have had. I know how difficult and life changing they can be. My Dad also died when I was young, my Mom remarried and moved us from NY to CA. I so loved the random acts of kindness as well as the "copy machine" and the electric cars. You rock, Jim!!

  • Thank you. I am getting better, but it is a slow process right now.

  • this is such an amazing video Jim, it really hits home

  • Thank you!

  • JIm, I really liked this vlog.. thank you soo much for sharing <33333 R77

  • Thanks

  • oh Jim, death is something that everyone deals with in their own way. You have a beautiful soul... <3

  • Thank you so much. You have a beautiful soul too. Hugs to you!

  • loved the random acts of kindness. great video jim :) 6WOTW!

  • They really make you feel great.

  • YOUR BLOODY GREAT

  • Thank you!

  • I would also like to add this: I've been sick constantly since Feb, too. Now, I'm dealing with dental problems.. antibiotics, pain pills, the whole bit. If YOU take your first walk in weeks, then I WILL TOO. I'm done focusing on what I haven't done and beating myself up for it.

    You in????

  • Thanks, I have been walking, it has been days not weeks. So lets each walk this Sunday and report back. Ok?

  • How did it go? Not only did I get out and enjoy the beautiful day, I also de-weeded a large flower bed. I went to sleep feeling great about my activities.

  • Thank you for sharing that Texas. You're a good person, even if you didn't change a thing. The fact you DO want to change is something you share with all of us. I want to be a better person too. I applaud you for wanting that change for yourself. I encourage you on that journey! What I see is someone who deeply appreciates the people in his life. What I would suggest is to become just a tad more selfish. Do more to enable yourself for your journey... THEN you can share even more of yourself!

  • Wow, that gives me something to think about.

  • Wow, that's cool that you pay it forward with random acts of kindess, all good things come back to you.

  • Thanks. I don't do it so that it will come back to me, I just think this world is hard enough to live in, I don't want to make it worse.

  • You are so captivating. You are changing the world :o) Love your random acts of kindness :o) Your a giver for sure. Amazing your amazing :o) (hey did you watch tinkerbell yet ?)

  • Thanks,

No I have not had the time to watch tinkerbell yet. I have a lot of projects going on right now.

  • Ok just curious :o)

  • You are a very inspiring person. In all that you have faced, you have remained such a person filled with goodness. Thank you for this. Your insight is wonderful and appreciated.

  • I've learned that there is always someone out there that has it worse, so I just keep on going.

  • Great mind video, I'm sorry to hear about your losses, even though they are in the past, it's always intriguing to hear into the lives of others, and this is always the week where we see that in our peers. I like your R.A.K and I think I'll try to adopt that philosophy and try to do something nice for a stranger everyday :D

  • Thank you.

You don't have to do an act of kindness everyday, but if we would all do the a little more it would be nice.
