i used to ride the alpine coaster at these speeds... then i took an arrow to the knee

When they used the concrete track it was more fun. At least then there was a tube you could enter at highspeed (back in the late 1970's) and do a barrel roll.

Back in the old days it was a slide (a trough) and you could fly off the track and crash - just as fun, but I am looking forward to riding the new one. With the new track I think it will be much safer and even faster!

Man, I remember the last time I went, it started raining HARD in the 3 minutes I was going up. I turned off the brakes, and went even faster. I really thought I was going to fall off at some points, because that was one terrifying ride!

Those Coaster cars have brakes themselves at app 40 mph, so you can't derail and you can't go like 120 mph with such a thing

@tiger12300 Was this ride open in 1992?We wanted to ride the alpine slide here that year but they closed a week early for some event.I was so ticked off.At least I have been on the slides in Winter Park and Attitash,NH.I've never been on a alpine coaster and the closest one to me is inthe mntns Md.near Pa.Its a 8 hr drive for me.:(

The rider has a hand brake to use if they get scared but you don't need to use it because you CAN'T crash ~ (the car is locked onto the track.)

this is one of the best roller coasters i have been on. i just went with my football team two days ago and had a blast at park city. with that said, number one, wear your seatbelt and number two, don't use the brake. a couple of my good friends were the first to have an accident on the ride because they forgot about the seatbelt.
