  • I wish Baltimore would get another NBA team. The Baltimore Bullets had the fan support, just that the city would not build them a new arena.

  • i lived in Green Bay Wis back in 68'-73 i remember this was when Kareem(was Lew)and was quite "militant" toward white folks. i remember an interview that was on PBS called

"black journal" and he was stating how whites were all racists,etc... i think when he finally got out to L.A. like alot of black athletes do and start hanging around with the rich white crowd they open their eyes. white lawyers and business partners and before you know it they want NOTHING to do with the old hood !!!

  • @use2slam2 i honestly think it had everything to do with that murder that took place at his D.C. townhouse in the middle of the 73'-74' season. after that, he probably changed a lot

  • @MichRockHop81108 His birth name was Lewis Ferdinand Alcindor

  • How the hell are the '71 Bucks not on the top 10 NBA Teams?

  • I love these old nba final recap videos.

  • The Bullets were very good in 71 but got overwhelmed by a great Bucks team

  • Nothing against the Bullets, but a Knicks vs. Bucks would've been better.

  • @ebf1957 I agree...Only reason the Knicks lost to the Bullets was Reed was hurt the whole series...The Bucks MAY have still won the title, but it sure as heck wouldn't have been a 4 game sweep...

  • let's hope the bucks can do something like this golden moment back in 1971. since i was an infant kid at the time.

  • Shit, Oscar Robertson and Lew Alcindor (KAJ) playing together!

    AWESOME starting line!

  • Milwaukee Bucks, the fastest expansion franchise to win a NBA championship, but they never get lucky again since the Lew Alcindor Era, at least in our lifetime, we may not see the Bucks win another title.

  • Ahhh....I love this video. Granted it was (way) before my time, it's always great to see a Milwaukee team get crowned a World's Champ.

Let's bring the trophy back to Wisconsin, boys! FEAR THE DEER!

  • We need another chance at both an NBA & NHL team in Baltimore. or have the Wizards and Capitals come up to 1st mariner arena and play some games during the preseason or regular season. and its great to have these videos that show what 1st Mariner Arena looked like in its hayday. I go there all the time to see the Baltimore Blast indoor soccer team and Baltimore Mariners Arena Football team.

  • If Gus Johnson was healthy then this would of been a different Finals.

  • @FrsBigeasy. Unfortunately, too much women and drink caught up with him. He was the Charles Barkley but I think Gus was better than him particularly on defense. Likewise, he could take on Bill Russell and gave Dave Debusschere trouble.

  • Your basically right.

But Charles Barkley was a Pretty Good Defender for a 6'5 Power Forward. He Body Up in the Post, Played the Passing Lanes, Pick Off Passes & Defensive Rebound with anyone. I'm a bit Biased here because I'm a Big Chuck Fan but its true.

  • Charles was great on defense when the game was speed and he played against great players. However, he wasn't that good against guys who shot from the outside. Gus seemed to be better at that.

  • Like I said Charles was 6'5 & 255 LBS most of that Muscle by the way. I saw him back down 6'10-7'0 Guys in the Post & Drop Step them or Shoot Over them. He was Vulnerable to Finesse Big Man but he wasn't a Bad Defensive Player. A lot of Big Man that Big & Strong are Vulnerable to Finesse Big Man.

  • @FrsBigeasy Gus Johnson played in 66 game during the season and the Bullets won 42 games.and had the 9th best regular season record. Your statement lacks merit.

  • @KevinRuetz He wasn't healthy in the Finals which was my point.

  • BIG O and Alchindor the best

  • whats the name of that really fucked up looking bullets player.

  • Jack Marin?

  • The absolute best thing ever to happen. I was 12 years old and living in Milwaukee and I love Kareen, Oscar, Johnny Mac, Greg Smith, Bob Dandridge, Bob Boozer, Len Chappell, Wayne Embry, Eddie Doucette and the rest ever since. I used to practice the sky hook every day and can still shoot a hook shot because Kareen was so awesome. Milwaukee Bucks forever.

  • fantastic team BIG O moves priceless

  • If I could hear this music and wear one of those uniforms, there would never be any more reason for me to live. It would be the apex of life!

  • LEW ALCINDOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Eddie Doucette was so great! What a treat to hear him again!

  • Unseld=fat bag of dueche

  • What amazes me about the Bucks is that they were crap in 1968-69, got Kareem the next year, then got Robertson and the championship the year after that! Other than Jabbar and Oscar, the "supporting cast" was really the same. Kareem was THAT good.

  • Sounds is a little distorted, but isn't that Eddie Doucette narrating? This was the golden era of Bucks basketball...hopefully they can turn it around soon.

  • The Bullets probably still lose if Gus Johnson plays, but without his 18ppg and 17rpg the Bullets were clearly overmatched. Gus would have made a difference. RIP Gus.

  • One of the great teams of alltime. Kareem was unstoppable and Oscar was a great setup man.

  • Best team ever.

  • the baltimore bullets!

  • bucks suck now but man were they good.

  • Milwaukee Bucks 1971 team won 66 games one's of the NBA's Greatest Champions

  • Agreed. They so underrtated in NBA history among best single season champs of all time. And swept a great Bullets team of Hall of Famers Wes Unseld and Earl Monroe.

This team IMO belongs in any top 10 or higher among best NBA title teams of all time.
