  • all about the unison of the guitar and sax at the end, bossed it!! :)

  • I saw JLW in Bakersfield, CA back in the late 80s in a bar called the Alley Cat. He was outstanding! Truly a nice fellow also.

  • Big Joe Turner has a song named Rebecca. Joe's version is much more lively and jumpin, go get 'em Joe Lewis Walker!

  • I miss how Joe Louis Walker used to get down like this. Not as much fire these days as then.

  • Pay your respect for a great musician and an excellent bluesman.

He's been out there for such a long time, he deserves to be praised more & more !

    Go JLW !

  • you can barely understand him

  • shes got eyes like diamonds

her eyes they shine like gold

    shes got eyes like diamonds

her eyes they shine like gold

all I want is a little love before I get to old

    the moon looks good

    its shinnin through the trees

    the moon looks good

    its shinnin through the trees

dont my woman look nice right here beside me

  • Klondike gold. From the old gold-panners.

  • @jonnyjamesblues

Minor correction: the first verse starts like this:

"She's got eyes like diamonds, they shine like Klondike gold"

This is one of those classic old blues lines whose originator is unknown. Taj Mahal copped it in his version of "Corrina, Corrina".

  • Joe Louis Walker has degrees in music and english. Maybe you should open your ears (and mind) a little bit.

  • If this dont make you stand on the tables and dance then I don't know what??????

  • damn.

  • Yeah man.

  • jlw IS TOP NOTCH!,BLAZING ANF FULL OF SOUL!

  • He was the top act of the Saturday lineup at the 2-day Blues By the Bay in Eureka, CA on Aug 30 '08, and he was blazing just like this vid. Also saw him in Fair Oaks, CA in '07 at NorCal Blues Fest. He's one of the top live blues acts out there.

  • Live at Slims vol.1 and vol.2 on Hightone Records are worth checking out. Henry Oden is a top notch player. Jeff Lewis and my brother,Tim Devine are the horn players.Joe is one of San Fanciscos best blues players out there. He's the real deal folks! Go See em live and try to keep from dancing!

  • One of the best!

  • Sorry mark but I've performed with Joe and he told me himself that it was called 'Rebecca' when I asked him. Just checked again in my collection and it sounds like the same song to me.

  • Well, Joe Turner's song was actually named Roll'em Pete. Awesome performance anyway

  • That´s alright.

  • thanx, man, regards, bluespower..
