i checked out his stats on Hockey data Base appearently only 2 points for toronto marlies but not the leafs in 2 games played. I dont think he was giving a fair chance to play with the leafs, the GM was retarded at the time for sending him to the minors after aquireing salmelainen. I would of liked it if he actually get to play for the leafs.

My mistake. I think I was thinking of Gamache. You're right, he wasn't given a fair chance. He could have done so well.

last time i heard of him, he was stuck with chicago and toronto, back when both teams really were bad. and he was stuck playing in the ahl without a fair chance at getting called up. for whatever reason, he left to go back to europe and play there, for more money and a chance to star over there. hope that helps.

He is not bum. He is son of Tommy Salmelainen. Tony is fast skater, not as fast as Tenkrat though. (my opinion) Played in HIFK. I am not his fan, I support totally other team, but he is pretty good player.
