Offhand I can't remember. However I can tell you I did every side quest except for the one where you give the artifacts to that one guy waiting by the tomb. So while I didn't grind anywhere for experience, I was about as leveled up as you could be at that point from just doing every quest you get.
I used Anjali as my companion too. Make sure you upgrade her gear. I remember it took me awhile to realize on the 'Equip' screen you could click on her name and select upgrades for her too, lol.
The main thing is to use the dodge and roll. When you're dodging nothing can hurt you. Also, you roll faster than you can run. So when you need to run up to something fast so you can attack, roll instead. Then roll away again.
