I mean we were facings like the TOP ranked defenses in the league. eagles, ravens twice and others so there will be injuries. and he wasnt the only. half of the offensive line was out at one point and both runningbacks. this was just a tough year. so i wouldnt think was injury prone. now if he has injury problems this year like last year then we could say for sure he's injury prone

i wouldn't go as far as to say Willie is injury prone.

I mean Mendenhall was knocked out for the season in week four of his rookie year.

Willie was healthy for almost 3 straight seasons.

Didn't break his leg till the end of 07 and that's not the kind of injury taht falls under the "Injury Prone" label.

08 was his first season of "Nagging" injuries but unlike many backs like that he was ready for the playoffs and was the reason we beat SD and his mere presence on the field after that mattered

well, even though that willie got hurt doesn't mean that he doesn't love this team. he keeps on trying to get on the field each week fr his team because he is trying to be tough, and he is doing it because he believe in himself, his teamates, the fans, and that he can do it. even though he may not run fast, and may screw them up, people can't say that he doesn't try. Moore has been having a great ride this year, and he may seem like he is the next willie parker, but don't give up on willie yet.

Willie is the man, but you are right BengalBells, he is very injury prone! I think that If Rashard Mendenhall did not go out early in the season, there was a chance he could have taken Willies spot. Mewelde Moore has been running good for now, but personally, I dont think he is cut for a starting hb position, especially on a steelers team like this, where a solid running game is a must!

Willie parker ran a 4.23 40 yard dash,he probably is the fastest guy in the nfl,whether u like it or not,sorry reggie bush,deangelo hall.the only guy i could maybe see beating him is Lee Evan's but even his 40 time wasnt as good as parker's

Parker is not even close to being the fastest in the nfl. He would get smoked by reggie bush and many others. If you would actually look up the results, Parker ran a 4.37 a the unc pro day in 04 and that was hand-timed. Willie's got great accelleration but his top end speed isn't that great he got run down by mike mckenzie. Proven college and high school track stars like michael bennett, ted ginn, reggie bush, tye hill and many others would smoke him.

i think mike tomlin ( pittsburgh coach) is trying to make him a power back although he is a speed back he pushes him up the middle and over the games he has been averaging 4 yards up the middle on a bad run yes on a bad run if he breaks away your not going to catch him

willie parker is by far one of the most underrated players in the nfl. some say he is too small, but over the last couple of years, he has bulked up and matured into ont of the nfl's premire backs.

by rookie year i mean the year he started (05-06) because you have to play a certain number of games to be even called a rookie.
