My Green Pikmin Idea for Pikmin 3

I think that green pikmin should be bulbmin, and are the weakest, and slowest types, but when they are eaten by any type of bulborb, bulbear, or bulblax,, they take control of it, and it spawns 5 babies, and becomes an enemy, once you kill it, the babies panic, and you can blow the whistle to ally the babies. Also when you beat the boss empress bulbmin, she acts as an onion, and stays on the ground at the end of the day, bring her remains of enemies, and she'll spawn new babies

@DeerMime Also, I just really wanna say, thank you for replying! But, yes, I think having a pikmin ability to light up dungeons would be more challenging than just a powerup... I was shooting for a night-vision-esque pikmin. But, the pattern of three onions and a ship is just so... I don't know... Built into the game, I guess... It would be hard seeing it another way. Maybe two connected bases, each with three onions and one ship (S.S. Dolphin or Company Ship)

I would like to see black pikmin as the third subterranian pikmin, and be immune to ice and light up dungeons the more of them you have. For greens, maybe when a character rises in altitude, the pikmin lose speed and strength, but greens have it the opposite. As for oranges, I'd like to see them handling bomb rocks, and maybe dig faster than any other pikmin. I would like to see each type with their own onion, although that can't really be too strategically done... Plz tell me what you think!

Ice-immune black pikmin might be a better idea than cyans because they'd be easy to confuse with blues, but lighting up dungeons may not be that useful because you get a powerup that takes care of that.

I like the altitude idea. There could be areas with less oxygen that only greens could survive/work in, though they still need another ability to make them practical on the battlefield (reds have stronger attacks, whites are fast and toxic, yellows are good for flying enemies, exc).

Continued: I'm not sure about other pikmin carrying bomb-rocks because it leaves a small plot-hole as to why yellows can't do it anymore, though it's not that big of a deal I suppose.

We might get one more onion to make an even four, but I'm not completely sure...

Green Pikmin already exist. They are the Parasitic bulbmin in Pikmin 2. The rumor is that they will be in Pikmin 3 with Fangs as their defining feature.

I think that the Green Pikmin should be resistant to wind. Or even something else is okay, but I really, REALLY think he should be able to climb things. Even things on bosses.

I didn't know it was wind resistant, but I always thought that wind could play a bigger role in Pikmin 3, and I don't really want them to bring back the Purple Pikmin. Nothing wrong with them, I just don't think they need to.

Green Pikmin still should climb things like trees and legs of dweevils and shtuff.

Bulbmin do. They also leave an orange trail when you throw them, make the cursor turn orange when you grab them, and their stems turn orange when they're buried. Granted, they have "green" features too, but we can't be sure whether they're green or orange.

I've heard that plenty of times. Orange is a good color for bulborbs, but it doesn't explain why the stem of the pikmin itself is orange. Not only when they're buried, but the tip of the big bulbmin's stem is orange if you look hard enough. They also appear as green dots on the map, so it's as if Nintendo couldn't settle on a definite color theme.

Hmm, sounds interesting. But maybe instead of acid, since there is the poison thing, there will be new enemies which put your pikmin to sleep using plant spores, and only the green pikmin are immune to them.

That's actually a pretty neat idea. It's sort of like a subverted hazard. But this isn't really my green pikmin idea anymore; I made a new one that's much better. Instead of being immune to acid, they secrete acid that corrodes away at stone and metal, so they're the only pikmin that can destroy stone walls and defeat enemies will shells or armor.

I've seen some pretty good ideas where the pikmin can blend in if you stay still for a little while. The one problem is that Olimar wouldn't be invisible, so that wouldn't negate the threat of an incoming enemy.

green (physical feature is big hands)- climbs trees to get items or make bridges from another sideo of an abyss

pink (physical feature is nostrils)- pink juice from pikmin 2 activates when throwing him, but dies afterward

orange (physical feature is a fuse in flower form and a bomb shape in bud form)- explodes when eaten or thrown onto an enemy. could also activate when you throw them after some seconds

gray (physical feature is long stem)- use him as a bridge for captain(s)

I was thinking that maybe the fake eyebrows are a heredity mark caused by something acidic, which is why they look bleached(though it's no longer a problem of course). That, or the same reason purples have hair :P.

They go farther because they're slightly stretchier. Think flying squirrel, but less sophisticated.

I want to upload a vid about Swasps and Grass Bulborbs, but it may seem a little bland with no pitures...

Purples "hair" is, in fact, rootlets. These increase the inflow of nutrients, increasing the size and muscular density.
