Depends. Alot of people have configurations issues with SP3 on laptops. As for on desktops I have had no issues. But over 20 laptops I have worked on lost the Wireless functon aftyer SP3 was Installed. But if you uninstall it, theres a few things needed to be reinstalled, like WMP11-I recommend you back up your files b4 the install. If wifi craps out-downgrade to SP2
